There is no need to do that; it’s not the first time a show has had a relaunch. You just can’t have an awful and rotating interim team, apart from last week, like Today has had which can drive your very few viewers away.
It is certainly an interesting approach. Burling obviously doesn’t want anyone who is or is associated with the relaunch to be filling in. Yet, he doesn’t want those who he axed to continue their work until the relaunch which leaves for very few talented staff.
I get the feeling Sylvia was supposed to be back from holidays today. Makes sense for Lara to fill in instead.

The addition of Allison Langdon wouldn’t surprise me. Nothing like an expectant mother to engage the female audience and give the young mothers at home someone to relate to. It worked wonders for Sunrise when Mel and Nat were having their children.

If the New Idea article is anything to be believed, it says those three will join Georgie and the team.
I personally don’t think it’s a good idea bringing Georgie back.
That is discrimination and is against the law not to hire her because she is or plans to have children.
I would say that the 3 hosts is a way of gracefully demoting Georgie back to news (she will do news and co-host). Plus this style restricts direct comparisions between the new host and Karl.
Once again this brings a whole new Weekend Today team.

How? You cannot disregard her for a promotion simply because she is pregnant.
Three hosts is an interesting approach given Ten tried and failed twice. What often occurs is a third-wheel; particularly when there is no chemistry between the hosts. In theory, Ally, Brenton and Georgie are great but it will be interesting to see if it works. The best approach is to place the potential third wheel (likely Georgie) in the centre so when the other two banter, it appears that all of them are involved.
She is doing well too. 
Mate, they’re trying to develop a new team. To install someone and for them to leave 3 months into the role is not good for the show.
You’re looking for what’s not even there…
If they really want Allison they should start with Brenton and Georgie and then after Allison’s leave she should join the show. Not join, leave soon and come back.
Not publicly - but given it’s a shoulder-tap role rather than an application role it would be relatively simple to say you weren’t our preferred candidate.
I’m not sure why we are entering into this discussion anyway, given one report says she DOES have the job.
If that team is correct, and I think it’s a very big IF, then I am thinking it’s going to be a long year ahead. It just feels like fill ins.
Can’t say I am a fan of having Brenton Ragless host the show (if the article is to be believed). Allison is a good pickup though.

There is a lot very confusing in that New Idea “story” which suggests it’s a load of bollocks.
It’s New Idea, it won’t be right. The headline is written in a way that NI is just trying to park some SEO value for when the announcement is actually made.
