Watched Weekend Today for the first time in a while because the cricket was on in WA. The whole vibe of the show is just weird and awkward, almost at times it seems like there is no flow.I donāt think being shoved in a small studio helps either.
Is it just me or is the Audio quality really bad from those studios? I have surround sound and every time I turn onto ch 9 and the news/ today is presented from there it sounds so bad.
Honestly, I donāt care what they do to that show because I never watch it but as long as they get rid of those stupid bulky laptops from desk Iāll be happy.

Thereās only two weeks until the ārelaunchā. They better start cracking with the promotions.

Error on graphic this morning during a live cross to Fiona in Canberra.
The previous live cross was to a reporter in Hobart.

I donāt mean to be too critical but Alice Monfries was really out of her depth this morning.
She should be given easier presenting assignments and graduate to a program like Today.

Normally youād expect this announcement to be made on the show but I am not so sure with this one given the time of year and Iām not sure they will want to the new look and new team associated with the fill in hosts whoād need to make the announcements.
Agreed. It has to be the Sunday papers. Either tomorrow or next week.

She stuffed up a guests name and said she probably should have checked it before they started the interview. Quite nasty that the crew were heard laughing at her and she told them to take it easy on her because she āwas new hereā.

You musnāt watch much on Nine then - Davina Smith is only the main presenter of their 4pm bulletin here in Sydney during the year! 
Some of us actually work. Not ever home before 5pm. I canāt say Iāve ever noticed her before. This is the problem with Weekend Today. They have so many different presenters, week to week and they have no stability. Sunrise had most of their regulars presenting today and itās the middle of the holiday season.

I think the fact that Basil is still presenting in the middle of summer despite his massive yearly workload (6PR Breakfast, AFL, Nightly News & Weekend Sunrise) is a true testament towards his work ethic.
