Those Today weather graphics have to be the worst I’ve ever seen. And since when is the Sunshine Coast just south of Townsville?

Monday (27.06.16)-Friday (01.07.16): Both Sylvia and Tim are away this week so Aislin Kriukelis and Clint Stanaway are filling-in on news and sport respectively.

On my drive to work this morning in Brisbane I noticed a digital billboard advertising the show, however it was of the old style with previous orange logo with blue/white backdrop and team photo in white shirts similar to this. Nice work 9

Today won last week by 13,000 with wins across the east coast.

Still very close.

This had now been updated with the new look and says, QLD wakes up with Today.

With Sylvia still on holidays Aislin will be presenting news again next week. When she goes on maternity leave l wonder who will become Sylvia’s fill in,l think Lara Vella would be a good choice.
It was nice too see Chris Urquhart back reporting for the show on Thursday and Friday this week.
It was great to have Clint Stanaway back on the show this week, l wish he had the role permanently.

Maybe they could start using Rebecca Maddern over the summer?
Is she a Queenslander? Then NO she won’t be used.

Absolutely. Has great potential and could fill-in on the news during the week, in the weekend hosting role (he has done it once prior) and with practice could easily fill-in for Karl in the future.

Agree, and Aislin also improved her chemistry this week (possible intervened too much on Monday). BTW, Tim Gilbert reported on the snow this AM, so will undoubtedly be back on Monday.
Natalia Cooper will fill-in. Lara will be good as would Julie Snook. But, I by far would prefer Deborah Knight, Alicia Loxley or Georgie Gardner (but that will never happen ).

That Queenslander comment was just childish. Is Clint Stanaway a Queenslander? Is Natalia Cooper a Queenslander?

It was a bad attempt at a very bad joke.
Mate, it actually was a joke.

Is Clint Stanaway a Queenslander?
No he is not and doesn’t have to be when they already have two on the desk.
That Queenslander comment was just childish.
Why do you think Sylvia was chosen to replace Georgie? Why has Aislin quickly risen up the ranks in the last year or so? Why do Today do so many OBs in QLD? All because Today’s objective is to improve their QLD audience.

why not go to SA or even WA to improve their audience.

So many set elements used on the Federal Election this evening should be utilised on Today. The simplicity of white is so effective and much easier on the eye than the contrasting panels.
