The current video game Three logo is an insult to marketing. It’s such a pathetic logo, what were Mediaworks thinking
threenews.co.nz redirects to that page too.
Has it been said how much visible Stuff promotion and integration there will be during the news bulletin?
Will it be similar to the Prime News bulletin with next to no mention of Newshub, or a Stuff bulletin with Three News name
The banner at the top of the Three News page may be a clue, don’t know how it’d be on TV.
This graphic came up after the first story in sport…
…is this a taste of what’s to come, or is it a generic network card, borrowed for the story instead of using a Newshub one?
100% this I think! Good spotting…
Newshub Budget coverage starts 2:00pm NZST hosted by Simon Sheppard. Rebecca Wright will have updates from Parliament.

Stuff will debut its first 6pm news bulletin from Newshub’s studios in Auckland’s Eden Terrace. The initial broadcasts will start from these facilities, with a move to a purpose-built studio at Stuff’s Ponsonby premises planned for October.

One of the country’s most experienced reporters and broadcasters, Lloyd Burr, is joining Stuff Group next month as Explainer Editor.
Burr has spent the past four months hosting the AM news show on Three, a role that will finish when Newshub closes on July 5. He was previously the drivetime host at Today FM, Europe Correspondent for Newshub and a longtime political reporter.
A self-described news junkie whose broad television and radio background has been characterised by independent and feisty journalism, Burr says he is thrilled to join Stuff, the country’s largest digital news site.
As Explainer Editor, he’ll deliver video, audio and digital articles that go behind the headlines on challenging or difficult topics.

Stuff are surveying readers to see what people want in the new Three News
Hmm…news.
Can anyone share what Stuff are actually asking viewers to give opinions on within the survey? Content? Overall look/feel? Set design?
Content, viewing sources, use of other media sources, reasons for viewing choices, frequency of use etc
Have they announced who will be Sams back up and or weekend presenter yet for Three News?
I was thinking it may be interesting to see if they plan on sticking with Laura or go with someone new.
I’d say Laura
Wasn’t it already announced that Laura was staying on as weekend anchor?
I’d thought so, but it was a while ago now. Maybe they just threw a bunch of names out there, I can’t remember.
My vote is for Gordon Findlater. He used to present bits on CTV News back in the olden days… bring back the burgundy jacket!
It was mentioned that she was one of several journalists joining the new bulletin, but it didnt mention presenting. It may well be that she is simply going to be the back up presenter, just thought may be they may have got someone else as a point of difference.
