Yes Shayne Currie definitely did say that, on the morning that Stuff announced their first hires for 6pm. then came the press release, so maybe that article got wiped…
At least it is not the pink logo used for Three and Three Now branding I guess…
Not bad, the horrendous TV3 logo doesn’t help though
Yeah. Makes no sense. What do + and = have to with three?
that Three logo is not suited to the news at all!
I would have liked to see them rejig the logo for the ‘new’ era of Three.
Exactly what I expected it to look like. It’s okay but that +HR=E logo looks really silly for what’s supposed to be a serious news operation. Surprised Stuff hasn’t plastered their branding on it too.
It doesn’t really look all that cohesive, the “news” is just tacked on +HR=E… oh, now I get it!
Never will be able to work out why replacing the +HR=E logo with something half decent wasn’t one of the first things WBD did on taking over…
I like, keeps it consistent with the three now brand, plus its something different
You’d assume there’ll be Stuff branding in it, whether that be “Stuff Political Editor James Smith joins us now” or Stuff polls or something.
Ticker along the bottom … more news at Stuff.co.nz you would think too?
Be a point of difference if they have a running ticker with headlines during 6pm, I personally like the thought of it.
There was nothing wrong with the fern and three squares logo… they could have easily brought that back. Glad to see the back of the Newshub name, though, don’t think it ever really worked.
(As an aside, is anyone else reminded of David Farrier’s sign offs? “David Farrier, THREENEWS!” Maybe all reporters should be required to sign off like that on the new Three News )
Well confirmation there was no expense to spend on that logo. The Three logo is tricky to work with but think as it is what it is they’d be better off doing the News in the same style - doesn’t fit in a normal font next to it - so +HR=E N=WS I guess.
Surprised they didn’t got with something like Stuff@Six.
Just came across this site. Might be the new home for “ThreeNews” content.
