I know who she is, and I still think they should have gone with someone else.
Jess is a big loss for the show, shame she couldn’t stay on. I actually think Amy Shark would be better for this show perhaps, with someone else on Idol.

There’s a stunning lack of respect for Can’t Fight the Moonlight in this thread.
I thought she was more famous for her “scandalous” love life than her music these days. ![]()
Perhaps the ‘young’ns’ will be more across LeAnne stealing the husband of Brandi of ‘Housewives of Beverley Hills’ fame ![]()
SNAP @JBar
Hasn’t Kate been critical of TV singing contests in the past?
I’ll absolutely give that song its dues, but she had most success as a country singer as a teen in the US, and her pop career post Coyote Ugly was lacklustere. ‘Life Goes On’ and ‘We Can’ were about it here. My guess is they’ll try and push a greatest hits release while she’s here, it’s just an odd choice.
It’s not the crown that it seems, it can happen with a few as 4,000 albums sold. Once the fans buy it up in the first week, you can plummet straight back out.
Is she? Most people didn’t like her on the show and are happy she is gone
That’s just my opinion - an excellent singer, mentor, great bubbly personality, a person of colour on our screens and a success story from early Idol days.
Need I say more.
This show is lucky it has the spinning chair novelty, so viewers will watch regardless.
This lineup unfortunately skews heaps older and further alienates younger viewers to FTA.
Production quality is always high, so hopefully they sell/promote the new judges and we’ll then understand the method to their madness.
Posting to Instagram in response to one user who asked, ‘who are the two blondes?’, Kate replied sarcastically, ‘The Veronicas,’ a reference to the famed Aussie pop duo.
Guy Sebastian has recorded a video at the blind auditions, inviting fans to register online for free tickets.
Leann Rimes has also just been announced as a judge on the UK version. Filming of that begins this weekend, apparently.
That means lots of flying between USA (where Leann lives), UK and Sydney.
I hope the filming dates of The Voice Australia and UK don’t overlap, because Leann needs time to speak to each contestant in her team during rehearsals ahead of battles and finals.
I’m sure her schedule was managed before committing to both shows.
She’s just happy to have work
