And I reiterate…

Looks like Seven are pretty confident about this show…

I’m pretty sure it isn’t confidence but perhaps a 2 year contract. I doubt they would have moved to 7 with a 1 year deal.

Perhaps, I’m sure they probably need all that lead time for casting so they can have a big enough pool of possible talent to choose from.

I was hoping they would alternate and have a season every second year. Voice and AGT in odd years, Idol in even years.

3 talent shows in a year is too much, it’s just going to shorten the lifetime of all 3 shows.

While I agree, similar can be said about those manufactured dating, relationship & wedding “reality” formats on Nine & Ten!

I see the creative department on Seven is still trotting out the same old line as always.

The roof-raising first look The Voice has arrived

It’s here! The blockbuster first look at world’s biggest show, The Voice , has landed on its new home – Channel Seven.

The larger-than-life promo, available to watch now, features a show-stopping performance of Justin Timberlake’s global hit Can’t Stop The Feeling! by an all-star Coach panel including multiple ARIA and GRAMMY© Award winner Keith Urban, UK hit machine Rita Ora, mega-selling singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian and singing and acting sensation Jessica Mauboy.

Showcasing stellar vocals and killer moves, the spectacular film clip is directed by ARIA Award-winning James Chappell, who has previously worked with Urban and Sebastian, and was shot over two days across six locations.

Rita Ora said: “I can’t think of a better way to launch a season this big than with a promo so fabulous. Everything from the song, my pink Cadillac and the powerhouse location was absolutely breathtaking. It takes an army to pull together a shoot like this and the team were so on point.”

Guy Sebastian added: “This was the most epic promo I’ve ever been a part of! It was a lot fun, especially the parts in the lift where I think some of my fellow coaches were about to throw up… It was great hanging with my Voice family and also working with James Chappell, who has directed seven music videos for me. He killed it. I can’t wait to see it all come together on television!”

Making her debut as a Coach on The Voice , Jessica Mauboy said: “Filming the promo with the other Coaches was a dream come true. We are used to filming music videos for our solo careers, so being able to stand alongside three other incredible performers and share this moment was surreal. Performing this incredible song with my dear friend Guy and getting to perform with my new Coach family Keith and Rita was beyond.”

The refreshed, reimagined 10th season of The Voice will be hosted by Sonia Kruger and features surprising new elements, plus the strongest ever line-up of artists competing for the illustrious title.

The Voice will premiere on the Seven Network after the Olympics.

Nice to see that Seven finally does a promo that doesn’t just show footage from the actual show itself. Better than most of their promos for some of their other shows.

However, typical of The Voice franchise we came to know on Nine, it’s all about the judges. Not a contestant to be seen!

Absolutely, which is a shame.

Though it probably means that those who watch for the judges might have some incentives to tune in. Let’s hope that they’ll be able to show us some of the contestants involved and that they’ll continue to be creative in their approach when promoting the show’s ‘rebirth’ on the network.

It certainly stands out. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’d hope the contestant’s abilities come to shine when the actual show premiers - that’ll speak for itself.

It’s not really a first look though is it…

It definitely isn’t a lazy ‘slap on some good ol’ footage from the show and call it a day’ promo which they were great at churning out for the past few years. Apart from DWTS and Big Brother promos I haven’t seen any other promos on Seven that is of a high standard (comparatively speaking) than this one. If this is their future approach to promoting and advertising then it’s certainly the right way to go.

It’s a good promo. To be as much as it’s a singing contest, it is also very much about the judges. A lot of people will tune in to see their faves.

I liked it. Except for the bit where they go up a building and then end up in a warehouse? How does that work and also, the overuse of the “audience” sound effect was way off and sounded bad.
