Mesmerising Blind Audition stuns The Voice coaches

Tia’s powerful dedication to her dad

A powerful Blind Audition and emotional story leaves superstar coaches LeAnn Rimes, Adam Lambert, Kate Miller-Heidke and Guy Sebastian awe-stuck when The Voice returns this month to Channel 7 and 7plus.

Tia’s dad – her strongest supporter and the reason behind her singing – is battling a rare and terminal form of brain cancer. She wants him to see her perform on The Voice stage before he’s gone.

“We don’t know how long dad will have left. So, I’m taking every day as it comes,” 25-year-old Tia shares.

Her incredible rendition of Life Goes On by Ed Sheeran captivates the coaches and earns a standing ovation during an incredible Blind Audition.

Kate said: “We get a lot of singers who come out and kind of assault us with their runs, they come all the way to us, whereas I felt like you drew us to you.”

“You should realise how special you are,” LeAnn agreed.

The Voice is an ITV Studios Australia production for the Seven Network.

Looking forward to The Voice, and seeing what the chemistry is like between the four judges. Their banter is always interesting.

Much prefer that to the backstabbing and sob stories on The Block.

There will be plenty of sob stories from the contestants too.

I dont mind them once they make the top 12, but they usually show alot of sob stories for the auditions too.

True, though you only usually hear them once. Unlike The Block contestants who go on and on and on.

This is what i cant stand about most talent shows these days and The Voice is one of the worst at it. Both the sob stories and then also making out like almost every contestant is amazing. There is a promo where someone is singjng an Ed Sheeran song and Kate says that its better than Ed Sheeran! These are such over the top comments, to literally be calling someone better than one of the biggest artists in the world. I find at lesst with Idol there is more constructive criticusm given.

Looking at a video posted to socials. The ‘SAVE’ is back for the battles. So each team will be cut from 12 to 7 after the battles.

And it seems they have gotten rid of the callbacks & ultimate callbacks that went on before they went to the battles the last 2 years. Going back to what 9 had which was Blinds then immediately battles.

I don’t think there will be much more episodes than last season with 17 because after the battles each team goes from 7 to 2 in the ‘Knockouts’

I think it could be 10 episodes of Blinds, 3-4 episodes of Battles, 2-3 episodes of Knockouts? 1 semi final & 1 final - for 17 to 19 episodes.

You could be right, as this is the synopsis for next Tuesday’s episode which is part 6 of the blind auditions.

We’re officially halfway through the Blind auditions and 7 new hopefuls take to The Voice stage, hoping they have what it takes to land a spot on one of the superstar coaches’ teams.

Correct!

The Blinds are my favourite part of The Voice, I don’t enjoy The Battles or anything after that as much.

For me, that’s when you see the contestants for the first time (I don’t enjoy watching them again after that as much) and that’s when the interactions between the judges shine more.

I recorded the season premiere on Monday but only watched it this afternoon. LeAnn was so desperate to get the first member of her team, that she used the Ultimate Block. I think that was a waste, she should have kept it until later in the blinds when more quality contestants appeared on the stage.

Siena Fodera was the first to perform in last night’s blind auditions episode. What was not revealed at the auditions (nor in the media kit posted by TVCynic above) was that she last auditioned in 2019 as a 13-year-old, and became a member of Team George. She was eliminated in the knockouts.

Odd they didn’t mention it. They have mentioned past contestants before.

I only found out this morning via her Instagram post.

They hid her face and name until after she got chair turns which I thought was really odd, but then nothing was said. Really bizarre.

They did it again last night with another singer. No reference to previously being on the show.
