I forgot to mention, earlier in the week a number of callers rang 3AW during Denis Walter’s regular Monday 2pm segment with The Age TV writer Scott Ellis.

Everything from “only one epsidoe now, we lose interest” to “epsiode takes up our whole night”.

This is only negative for Nine’s ratings/shares, as in the Sunday epsiode could rate much higher if not 2.5hrs and their shares Mon-Wed could be much higher if there were eps.

I agree the Sunday episode is too long, especially with guest performance and bottom two sing off included. I guess the producers want to differentiate the show from The X Factor which had a performance show and a results show on consecutive nights. Problem was the results show was too drawn out and often rated lower than the performance show.
