The Traitors

I really think 10 have done a poor job of promoting the show and what it’s about, which has resulted in generally low interest in the series.

It’s great they gave it a second go here but unless it miraculously picks up an audience for the remaining episodes I can’t imagine we’ll see another season unless it becomes a P+ exclusive.

Unless it’s rating well as an export?

I never saw this show last year but this time around I have found myself following it. Last night’s was a good episode. Amazing to see how things can be seen to turn around, I was sure that A had nailed it to get one of the Traitors gone, yet she copped it.

Annabel really did shoot herself in the foot last night. She did exactly what she claimed Sam to have done previously with Ash (push a vote agenda way too hard) and then in the banishment room reacted very similarly to Ash Pollard. That was only going to go one way and even though it got rid of a faithful, it surely has opened a few peoples eyes now.

Sam and Blake are really in a pickle now. I’m not sure how Sam is going to get out of this one. His only real option is probably to recruit someone because if they murder someone like Luke then it will be pretty obvious that Annabel was right. At the same time if Luke isn’t murdered he will keep gunning for Sam. I really can only see it going pear shaped for Sam now as Blake will probably leverage another Traitor to get him out as well (if they do recruit).

“The Dummies” - I like it; seems appropriate.

Traitor V Traitor.

  • Murdered: Luke, WA (Faithful)

  • Banished: Simone, LA (Faithful)

The Faithful aren’t the only ones who need to watch their backs, with Traitor turning against Traitor on tonight’s killer episode of The Traitors.

It was a new day in the Hotel after last night’s explosive banishment of Annabel. Blake had lost all trust in fellow Traitor Sam after he failed to protect him in yesterday’s banishment, and after Luke’s murder was revealed, an epic groundswell of suspicion fell on Sam.

At the Mission, the selfish actions of some resulted in a mere $18,000 in silver. Blake shared a car ride back to the Hotel with Keith and Sarah who both revealed they would be voting for Sam tonight. No surprises here that Blake was completely on board with this. A slight spanner in the works, after a visit to the armoury, saw stealthy Sam win himself the Shield.

While, Camille and Simone tried to rally even more numbers on Sam, Blake took the opportunity to hint to Camille that this Traitor must be a very arrogant person and who do they know that is arrogant around here? Blake is a man on a mission!

Tensions are high in the Banishment Ceremony after heat was instantly thrown on Sam. Sam came out all guns blazing and miraculously managed to defend himself, masterfully throwing attention to Simone which led to her ultimate demise.

Back at Traitor’s Tower, Sam knows Camille is onto him. When Rodger reveals this was their last chance to recruit a newbie Traitor, Sam tells Blake they must recruit Camille or else he will be in serious trouble. Sam laid it on thick with Blake saying if he agrees to this recruitment, they will call a cease fire and work together until the very end.

Will Traitor Tower come crumbling down or has master manipulator, Sam, convinced Blake to play ball again? Find out when The Traitors continues Sunday night.

Wow. Sam deserves to win now after deflecting another vote from himself.

It was so unfair that the Traitors (Blake then Sam) won the Shield of Protection for two episodes in a row.

I don’t think Sam is that lucky. Surely producer interference

That doesn’t save them from banishment though. I don’t think it affected anything really.

Sam is a great player. He was getting a bit annoying the past couple of episodes but to still be there despite being a constant target shows he is playing a really good game. I still think odds are against him but at this point I’d love him to take it out. There are too many clueless Faithfuls remaining.

I agree, my partner can’t stand Sam but I think he’s playing an immense game. He won’t make it to the end however. I wonder if they’ve recruited another Traitor? I think I get this all wrong as I’m always on the side of the Traitors.

Shame this isn’t finding an audience in it’s home land because it’s possibly the best season of the English language ones so far - such a glorious mess. The Faithful are useless - dummies is too kind - and whilst Sam thinks he’s playing this smart game of living on the edge and surviving show to show really he’s as dumb as the rest of them. Recruiting Camille and having two traitors that want you out working alongside you should likely see Sam banished the next day anyway, though does at least set up someone perhaps deserving for a potential win. Sam is great value though but has treated Blake like a piece of shit from the very beginning.

P.S. From a social experiement point of view this is something we’ve seen in reality TV time and time again but really noteable that when a woman defends herself at banishment she gets voted off. When a man defends himself he escapes the chop.

I saw a promo on Ten today that mentioned something along the lines of this season having the craziest finale of any season worldwide and it’s all triggered by a move that happens this week. I can only assume it must involve Sam in some way given how aggressive he’s playing.

Setting it up to be underwhelming though. Generally when episodes are hype up by the network as the “best ever” or “craziest” they never are.

New Traitor, Who Dis?

  • Recruited: Camille, ACT (Faithful Turned Traitor)

  • Banished: Keith, VIC (Faithful)

With only two days to go until the end game, the pressure was building for the Faithful and Traitors. Here’s how tonight’s killer episode of The Traitors went down…

After the ultimate betrayal at the previous Banishment Ceremony, Sam backed Blake into a corner in order to recruit a new Traitor with an offer of war or peace.

Camille was gobsmacked to get an offer from the Traitors and ultimately decided to join them on the dark side, meaning there were now three Traitors – Sam, Blake and Camille - and only five Faithful remaining. Sam had a masterplan to keep his recruitment of Camille a secret by wearing his Shield as a deflection away from the fact nobody had been murdered.

After it became clear that no one was murdered, much to Sam’s delight, Liam instantly told the group that the Traitors must have tried to murder Sam but his Shield protected him, so he must be a faithful.

A tightly fought Shield Mission saw Keith walk away victorious, safe from murder, but not safe from banishment.

Back at the hotel, with all votes seemingly headed Keith’s way, Hannah dropped the bombshell that Traitors can fake murder themselves if they have a Shield, meaning Sam’s name was back on the table.

In the Banishment Ceremony, Blake led the charge on Keith. This attack from his best friend turned Keith off Sam’s trail and onto Blake, but Blake managed to divert attention back to Liam. Hannah’s questioning fell flat, and with no real support for the Sam votes, Hannah, Sarah and Liam join the three Traitors to vote out Keith.

Later, the Traitors meet in Traitor’s Tower and congratulated Camille on her first banishment. Gloria and Hannah’s names are both on the chopping block but who will survive another night in the hotel? Find out when The Traitors continues tomorrow night.

The Traitors. Continues Monday, 4 September At 7.30pm On 10 And 10 Play.

Another good episode. That was a pretty smart move by Sam leveraging the shield to deflect off himself again.

It’s pretty crazy that we will be down to 6 people (after this murder) and the only Traitor that has been voted out so far was pushed out by the existing Traitors. It looks like that might change tonight though if the Traitors start turning on one another.

It’s going to be really hard for a Faithful to win now. The end game on the last Aussie season was slightly different to the US/UK versions so depends how far they push it. I’m not sure what happens if it’s a tie vote with 4 people left?

The End Game Is Nigh.

  • Murdered: Hannah, NSW (Faithful)

  • Banished: Gloria, VIC (Faithful)

With the end game and a large pot of silver in sight, the Traitors were turning on each other in their penultimate day in the game. Here’s what went down in tonight’s killer episode of The Traitors

The Faithful were growing increasingly frustrated that they had only banished one Traitor, while their fellow Faithfuls kept dropping like flies. At breakfast, it became clear that Hannah was murdered, leaving three Traitors and three Faithful.

At the challenge, the contestants clocked up an extra $16,000 to add to their total prize pool.

Once they returned to the hotel, the scramble begun. Sam and Liam had their sights set on Blake, however Gloria and Camille were on a mission to target Sam, trying to convince Sarah to turn on him. They only needed one final person on their side and then they would have the numbers to get him out.

Camille approached Blake to see how he would feel about joining her to get their fellow Traitor out. He decided it was time to align himself to Camille and turn on Sam.

As Banishment started, Gloria implored to the Faithful in the room that this was their last chance to get a Traitor out, otherwise the game was over. She said Sam’s claim that he was murdered while wearing the shield was suspicious. Sam retorted that he never pushed the fact he got murdered and there could have in fact been a recruitment. When Gloria said to look at people they’d least expect, he started looking at her. Gloria was someone that had flown under the radar. Liam agreed. Blake finally admitted that Gloria once said she would make a fantastic Traitor by flying under the radar and that’s exactly what she was doing.

When Rodger announced it was time to vote, they all voted Gloria, who was of course, a Faithful. Liam was furious. His sights were now set on Sam.

Rodger interrupted with the news the final five were receiving a gift for getting this far in the game. Tonight, there would be no murder!

The group were elated, however Sam now found himself with a target on his back. He normally murdered the people who attacked him and now he can’t murder Liam. Can he weasel his way out of this one? Find out when The Traitors Finale airs Sunday, 10 September at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.

Are these faithfuls the dumbest bunch of spanners or what? They’ve let Sam play them for mugs again !
