Back on topic, eh? Well, I thought this topic was about a show called The Simpsons not another thread about Ten’s contracts being terminated and which network will pick up Fox content.

I’m beginning to feel like I’ve missed out on something major by growing up in the pre Simpsons era. I just don’t get this obsession with a cartoon that has been recycling the same jokes for 20 years.

There is one silver lining about Ten losing The Simpsons & other Fox content: It means that regional viewers would no longer have to watch them via WIN & their solid ‘blobmarks’, as well as their inferior PQ on their SD channels! 
Still on regional TV, if Nine gets the rights, it will mean that it will ‘return’ to the former Ten affiliate licences that were switched over to Nine during last year’s affiliation swap.

I thought nobody watches Nine and Ten in regional Australia anyway

Although simpsons isn’t in the demographic leading into the news for something different nine could air Modern family rpts and simpson rpts leading intp the news. It might give them good demos into the night.
I would have thought Hot Seat and Eddie McGuire are too important to them

I don’t think that it would be in FOX’s best interest to onsell one of their premium programmes onto free to air, they would rather force people to pay money to Foxtel for the privilege of watching the Simpsons and many other FOX shows Besides as I said before and will say again Nine and Seven I doubt they would be interested in taking over the Simpsons, it won’t fit on any of their channels and they would rather show Australian programmes instead. I am surprised that Seven has still got Family Guy and American Dad, I thought they would have gotten rid of it by now.
We’ll see but I think they prefer to make money both ways.
I could easily name 7mate, 7flix and 9GO as being very compatible with The Simpsons.
I think they’d prefer the money that comes from doing so, though.

I digressed into talking about a Shitposting Group, felt like I was going a little off topic from the Actual Show. 
Should be interesting what Network may pick it up, @mubd’s Fake Post about the Simpsons going to ABC at 6pm every night actually sounded like a great idea to get more viewers for ABC in my opinion before finding out it was a fake (got me good!), most people watch it for the Classic Episodes rather than new.
Maybe with ABC 2’s Rebranding to ABC Comedy it could become a reality, doubt it would happen though.

Saw a promo for Simpsons / Family Guy cross-over on 7mate yesterday.
I know that means nothing, but are the only times I’ve seen Simpsons promoted on another network

Nine has the final season of The Middle on 9GO!, Modern Family could be a great replacement on the 9GO ! channel. So would Speechless.
I’m guessing The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers on 7 Mate ?
Is it possible for some of the shows to end up on different networks ?

I agree, Nine are more likely to go for Modern Family and perhaps This Is Us, especially given their focus on increasing 25-54s the past year.
Though I hope they’d try main channel first.
