Both the new episodes and repeats were consistently in the Top 5 multichannel shows for the night in 16-39 and 18-49, so it would be valuable content particularly for 9GO! or 7mate.

Ten bumped it off the main channel years ago. I can’t see 9 giving it prime lead in position to the news. Totally incompatible. At best 7 or 9 would put it on a multi channel.

Hot Seat has failed against The Chase and it’s slowly slipping away with the new format failing. Nine will either have to spend up big on a new game show or save that money for local primetime content.
Nine has aired 5:30pm US repeats and cartoons in the past. Wouldn’t even be an unprecedented move.
It might do okay for a 7pm filler timeslot over Christmas/Summer/non-ratings. Seven and Nine have aired US content like Frasier, King of Queens, Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory, That 70s Show and How I Met Your Mother in this timeslot on the main channel over the years.

I’m trying to find the best time slot for each channel.
For Seven it would be difficult because they have a pretty stable and successful early evening schedule. Would be a perfect fill in for Home and Away during summer.
Otherwise 6pm on 9go and 7mate is a given and probably a heap of other timeslots on multichannels.
Ok, is it possible for you to stop?
Edit: I love The Simpson’s but there’s no use speculating.

I’m missing The Simpsons.
Though I’ve always loved it and seen every epsiode 100 times (clichéd), in recent years when there was nothing else on, I’d found myself tuning-in to one of Eleven’s repeats at night.
Hope Seven or Nine pick it up ASAP.
There are lots of clips on YouTube if you need a fix.

Much bigger targets for Seven and Nine from a demo perspective would be This is Us and especially Modern Family - much better purchases. Seven would also be better to spend their money on re-acquiring Big Bang repeats for another 12 months - can be programmed on Seven, 7Mate and 7Flix with a very broad appeal.

Going back on topic, I wonder which FTA Network The Simpsons will call home in the future if a deal is made. Quite a few gaps made in the schedule from the FOX Deal Termination, wonder what they’ll do going forward.
