All Hands On Deck! Introducing Our Sexy Singles.

The Real Love Boat. Premieres Wednesday, 5 October On 10 And 10 Play.

From identical twins to a self-confessed “awkward dater and bad flirt ”, Australia’s most eligible singles are about to embark on the romantic voyage of a lifetime in the hope of a *ferry-*tale ending.

Strap yourself in Australia… because 21 diverse, intelligent, confident and boat-iful single men and women are about to make their mark when The Real Love Boat premieres on Wednesday, 5 October at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.

It’s no surprise Queensland, the home of sun, sand and beaches, hosts the majority of our contributors. Representing the Sunshine State is Wellbeing Coach Ben, Hairdresser Chelsea, Personal Trainer Dalton, Distillery Manager Daniel, Physio Assistant Harley, Event Co-ordinator Katie, Digital Marketer Mikaila, Dental Receptionist Moana, Business Manager Naomi and Retail Assistant Sari.

Harley and his twin brother, Jesse, have signed up for The Real Love Boat for a once in a lifetime opportunity to find love. On what makes him the ultimate catch, Harley said: “I can cook and I am driven and respectful.”

Hailing from New South Wales are Carpenter Jack, Social Enterprise Manager Jay, Adventure Co-ordinator Josh, Disability Support Worker Keanu, Chef Paddy and Digital Strategist Tyler.

Self-confessed “chronically single” Tyler has never been on a date. When asked why she was single, Tyler said: “I am just a lot for people to get used to.”

Representing Victoria are Functions Manager Courtney and Carpenter Jesse.

Real Estate Agent Chris resides in Australia’s Capital Territory, while Health and Lifestyle Co-ordinator Paul, and Wedding Dress Designer Sally, are flying the flag for Western Australia.

Openly bi-sexual, Chris finds that he struggles to put himself out there as he is worried about how a potential partner will take his sexuality. On what qualities he looks for in a partner, Chris said:

“Someone who shares my passion for travel and can help me best version of myself.”

The Real Love Boat will set sail aboard Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess with love forming across the waters of Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro.

Host Darren McMullen, Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier, Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody, and Princess Cruises’ Captain Paolo Arrigo will be onboard to guide our hopefuls on their quest to true love.

Only one couple can make it to the final port. Who will drop anchor and who will abandon ship?

That’s 12 guys and 9 girls. I wonder how the elimination would work?

Lots of Queenslanders too it seems.

Half the contestants are from QLD (10 mentions this in their press release above as well).

I’m SOOO excited for this show.

Yet another dating show to sink my eyeballs into, and thank you channel 10 for being such an outspoken advocate for diversity. You know not just serving lip service, but actually including the LGBT+ in dating shows and promos. Thank you again for featuring the over fifty crowd and for including so many people with disabilities in your world class reality shows.

Channel 10 you really are leading the way in your dedication to inclusivity for all marginalised groups especially for showing that even if you aren’t young, hot, thin, heterosexual you deserve to find love, romance and sex.

Such a beacon of light and hope and total justification for priding yourself on social justice programming.

In case anyone is curious, the main location shot being used in the promo is Kotor, Montenegro

Drama And Romance Set Sail.

The Real Love Boat. Premieres Wednesday, 5 October On 10 And 10 Play.

We’re getting ready to leave the harbour, and connections are starting to form.

Katie’s family fear she may have missed the boat when it comes to dating. Will The Real Love Boat throw this event manager a buoy?

Real estate agent Chris says he’s ready to find the one – but is Katie the person he wants to be anchored down to?

Will Katie and Chris get their *ferry-*tale ending? Or will they be left high and dry?

TV Week has a poster of the 21 contestants.

An exclusive preview screening was sent out to some 10 play subscribers this morning.

That actually wasn’t bad if you can get past the cheesy theme song… and watching without adds made it feel snappy. Hopefully it feels that way even with adds.

10 has released further information on the 21 contestants.

EDIT: the competition begins with six ladies and seven men outside a villa outside Barcelona, Spain. One man will be eliminated before even setting sail. The competition has 21 contestants so there will be intruders (or stowaways?).

Caught the first 5 mins of this. Probably won’t rate but it’s well produced and half a decent format. This is more an online type show for 10play or P+. This could be 10s version of Love Island.

It definitely won’t do well on linear.

The Real Love Boat Sets Sail.

Romance And Drama Hit The High Seas .

Thirteen gorgeous singles landed in Barcelona with host, Darren McMullen, hoping to embark on the ultimate search for love.

But with only twelve tickets to board the ship, someone was going home before even recovering from the jet lag.

After an intense round of speed dating to decide what couples were to make it on the water, Ben was left on land with no ticket to join the others on The Real Love Boat. And in a shocking twist, it is discovered that Moana and Daniel already have some history.

The couples then boarded their romantic voyage of a lifetime, meeting their fabulous match-making Cupids, Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier and Head Of Entertainment Daniel Doody.

The next day, the couples tried to get close with some alone time on the ship. Tyler and Dalton had an awkward date in the spa, and the sparks continue to fly between Sally and Jay, where they shared a kiss after a very romantic massage. After a day full of hot dates, Chris took Sally for a one-on-one chat and revealed that he’d love to get to know her better. The chemistry was palpable between Naomi and Daniel following their date earlier in the day.

It was then time for the first Cast Off Ceremony, with the guys deciding their couplings.

Dalton was up first and switched things up by choosing Moana, Sally and Jay stuck together and Josh decided to pick Tyler. Daniel chose to stay with Naomi, while Chris took the opportunity to get to know Katie. This left Paddy to choose Sari.

Tune in tomorrow night, as our singles arrive in the port of Gibraltar, and connections are tested aboard The Real Love Boat!

Continues Tomorrow At 7.30pm On 10 And 10 Play.
