I don’t need you scrutinising my comments on the content of a show when you don’t even seem to watch it. It’s ridiculous.
Yet you tell me to let others enjoy either one. Well ummm I watched Sydney and I enjoyed the season for the most part. Maybe go read my running commentary throughout the season. I didn’t miss a second and loved it. However if it came to choice I prefer the Melbourne housewives over Sydney. I don’t think there are many viewers who would disagree and neither do ratings.
Whatever you seem to have in your head I couldn’t care less if the shows were filmed in Sydney or Bonnie doon. My fave Real Housewives version is actually Beverley Hills.
It’s an ongoing theme from you. Maybe you don’t even realise you’re doing it. You’ve been knocking the idea of the Sydney spin-off from the day it was announced and you’ve been slamming it since then. There may have been positive comments from you but there have been plenty of negative ones. Now you’re dropping hints that they shouldn’t do another one and suggesting that they’re better off concentrating on Melbourne and doing a different one.
So maybe you could make suggestions for them to improve the Sydney version for the next season and it could end up being as good as your beloved ones, if not better. There’s room enough for all of them Just live and let live.
If there was any resistance to the Sydney version it was only based on the fact that it meant that the Melbourne version got delayed. If filming another season (no matter where it was filmed) meant we have to wait 1.5-2 years for the next season of Real Housewives of Melbourne I’m entitled to express that I found that frustrating. It also potentially meant earlier on that RHOS was to replace RHOM.
Also my comment above was in relation to numerous articles in the media, ratings, housewives hating on each other etc. I heard on the news in the last couple of days that Lisa Oldfield’s family were ranting on about how disgusted they were by her behaviour on the show so there is a good chance she won’t be back. All I’m saying is that based on a lot of what I’ve heard (and what happened in the show) I think the show would need a big cast shake up if it is going to come back. That is just an OPINION on a TV SHOW NOT A LOCATION.
All this though obviously must mean that I hate Sydneysiders! My opinion on a TV SHOW must be reflective on an entire city. For reals. I would assume so, its a long time since a Foxtel show produced weekly press, not even Wentworth got close to the amount of coverage.
It will be a fine line with recasting in regards to needing confrontation but not wanting the show to be too confrontational. I also imagine both RHOM & RHOS cast members being far more cautious with the behaviors knowing that if you bring a lot of drama it does not guarantee you a contract.
In the event it proceeds to Season 2 they should start filming a larger cast and decide on the primary cast based on storylines as they regularly do in the US.
What are the odds of RHOM airing this year? It would have to start by early to mid September to fit in the ratings year. So I’m starting to think that it will be held off till 2018…

Goes back to my earlier comment… if they can’t handle 2 seasons a year then they just need to stick to one Real Housewives format and maybe just make a few more eps of that. 2 years between seasons is ridiculous and given how undecided Sydney is I can’t see that happening anytime soon if it does at all.
Has there been any word on airdate? I’m pretty annoyed that its looking two years between seasons and that they promised it 2017 and we havn’t got it. Filming wrapped up a couple of months ago. You would hope after all this time the season will have a few more eps in the next one.
My understanding is that they are currently casting/story boarding to then present to Foxtel for the official green light. Producers were looking for a “name” or two to assist in relaunching the show, perhaps with more international appeal. There is no concern about timing as its not proposed to be a continuation from season 1.
The existing cast remain under contract, not all are expected back. The contracts are pretty easy to be released from, however very difficult to obtain other media work should they themselves ask it to be terminated. I believe one does not want to return but may be able to coerced on the promise of better story lines. Her family were not happy with the family name being associated with the show and in the rare instance Roxy Jacenko does join in some capacity, this housewife will likely not.
