The Real Housewives of Melbourne/Sydney

Terry comes across as extremely false. As for the argument with Nicole if you make plans to meet at a certain time, be there or explain why you’re late.

To me that’s not really the point here. There’s a common theme on Housewives seasons (especially Aussie versions) where drama is stirred up for lateness and it comes across as petty. At the end of the day they filming a show where there could be delays for a magnitude of reasons. Go whinge to the crew if you have an issue with it.

You are also taking Krissy and Nicole’s word for it that they were “late”. Terry and Caroline’s side of the story is that they were never meant to be going together and there was never any contact made by them. In a nova podcast today Terry is really pushing this. Terry and Caroline clearly had another car and crew to film them… so that’s where what they are saying make sense.

The Housewives formula (especially on Aussie series) is very much that when they go away on trips for day activities, they usually break them up into smaller groups to show different things and get more content. The reality is they were probably told a time their cars/crew would be there to then go their separate ways.

Anyway, we weren’t there so will never know but I’m sure this will be a big topic at the reunion.

Are you suggesting Terry organised the cars to be there at 9:30am and they leave when they were ready not that THEY were meeting them at 9:30am to go together?

Surely this could nto have been orchestrated by production at all :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m watching it now, and in the beginning I agreed with you about the series of events and who is likely at fault but here’s a thought…

Perhaps Nicole and Krissy had misinterpreted the directive about being in the lobby at 9:30 thinking that because Terry was the one who told them that they were meeting the other girls too, but that was just when the cars / production were organised for?

I did think it was interesting that Terry initially said that was never the plan and the separate cars etc, then doubled down on the fact that Caroline was later and that she’s just always late.

Which is it, was it never the plan or you acknowledged you were late? :man_shrugging:t3:

Exactly right. I can’t see how it was Nicole and Krissy’s fault at all.

Terry has definitely become the ultimate villain of the season.

Also with Caroline, I liked her at the beginning but she’s a bit much now. I don’t do time, I don’t do schedules, I do want I want and no one can tell me otherwise. Like, who are you? It’s just so disrespectful.

For me, the whole ‘Nicole being so upset thing’ feels very staged and OTT. We’ve also seen this ‘outrage at being late’ recently on New York Housewives.

This sounds more like it to me.

Why does it have to be anyone’s fault? There are two sides to a story and if there was a misunderstanding on either side, once explained just let it rest. Everyone agreed to try and be more conscious of time but then Krissy and Nicole then just kept going on about it which resulted in it erupting further.

She’s def playing the victim card hard.

And yeah like I said above, the late card being played is tiresome. It’s constantly used on these shows to get some sort of leverage (They also made a big deal about it with Dorit on RHOBH a couple seasons ago too. Andrea also played that card on Gina in RHOM.) It’s making a deal of something so petty when in reality, they are filming a show that wouldn’t always go to schedule.

Well that’s just great. Nicole really should be there.

Given that the reunion was announced later, and by all previous accounts wasn’t due to happen, it’s sort of understandable if she couldn’t be there due to other commitments.

Not ideal, but what can you do - should still be plenty of drama next week.

It is disappointing that Nicole isn’t there especially given the season ended with a lot of drama between her and Terry. Although as mentioned above, it does sound like the reunion was only decided to go ahead very recently so it’s good that most of them were available.

The final episode was done really well. It felt more like a US style episode where there was a lot more content jammed into the episode after the trip and it was all edited/wrapped together nicely. It was a bit of an up and down season. There were a few episodes (mostly earlier on) that felt forced and unpolished, but it did get it’s groove on a lot more as it progressed. I hope it gets another season because it got there in the end.

Also what’s with Nicole double exaggerating the lateness card to 90 minutes this episode? :man_facepalming: I do agree with Caroline that there has to be more too this than lateness. For some reason she wants to have something on Terry.

After watching the season final. Terry is a cashed up bogan. Nicole gave a gift and apologised. No need to keep going on about it, just move on.

They made Kate out as the bully but in reality, it’s Terry and has been all along.

Couldn’t agree more but I do find Kate very agressive too. Maybe the producers needed to make the lateness argument between Terry and someone else other than Nicole. IMO Sally and Nicole are the only honest and genuine people on this show. I like Krissy but have to admit she is a sh*t stirrer!

Great to see the true villains/ nasty people get told off at the reunion. Kate and Terry were never going to get away with it.

Caroline calling Kate out for fakeness and inserting herself into every storyline was amazing. Great to see.

Disappointed in the production of the reunion. It’s not rocket science.

What was wrong with it?

You could see the host pause to find his spot on the teleprompter and cue cards.

All of which happens but can be edited out.

A US reunion will film for between 5-8 hours (talent are on set for much longer) as a number of segments and be drastically edited for airing.

This reunion felt like it was filmed over 90 minutes to create a 40 minute episode.

They did say numerous times this was scheduled very late and they had short notice. Maybe the compromise was it’d be a quick one?

Yeah some shoot days for us seasons are 13 hours long for a 3 part reunion.
