The Project

A left of field option; but what about Jaqui Felgate? She always had great chemistry with anyone she worked with on 7news Melbourne. And she was always a star on the Good Friday appeal.
I guess they would need to trial her in the 4th chair first, but someone should call her.

Oh no.

I’ve a better idea… how about Jacqui Lambie? She’d certainly liven things up. :smiling_imp: Watch the ratings go through the roof…

The network appears to have removed her image from their hallowed hallways, much to the shock of her co-host Peter Helliar.

On Wednesday evening, the jovial comedian took to Instagram to share an image of a bemused Carrie, 41, holding a cup of coffee in front of an empty poster frame.

Some would see a removal as quick as that as a sign she’s crossing to a competitor.

If that doesn’t say she’s signed with another network, I don’t know what does. At least keep her up till she leaves

I’m starting to think now contract negotiations were going on well before all this and bosses told Carrie to go on a break and recharge and reassess when she gets back and something happened after the upfronts

if she was crossing to a competitor she would have been dismissed straight away, not allowed to stay on till the end of the year

I’ve been in the audience three times and on all occasions Carrie stuck around the longest after the show speaking to the audience. She wasn’t in a hurry to go anywhere.

According to The Australian, Ten insiders who were accidentally sent a draft contract for Carrie Bickmore before she signed her last deal, claim Ten offered Bickmore $1.1m a year to host The Project from Monday to Wednesday nights during 2021 and 2022, putting Carrie well ahead of the likes of David Koch, Natalie Barr, and Tracy Grimshaw, despite Carrie only being on air three nights a week.

Completely ridiculous. She’s not worth that. At all.

Well… that’s The Australian’s take on it, which is probably largely bullshit. I expect the $1.1m figure has been planted by Carrie’s publicist or agent to ensure that any future employer ‘knows her worth’.

And if you believe the rumours Lisa is on even higher pay while working less days than Carrie!

Good on her… take the win.

Another Sophie Elsworth special? If her name’s on the article, read with caution.

The Australian’s Media Diary :

Diary hears the usual suspects are lining up for the gig: with the field including key Ten personality Chrissie Swan, The Project’s recently signed talent Georgie Tunny, Studio 10’s respected co-host Sarah Harris, and former Bachelor contestant Abbie Chatfield.

But insiders suggest some other names who have been widely touted, including regular Project panellists Jan Fran and Susie Youssef, are drifting in the bookies’ betting markets and highly unlikely to win the gig.

Sportsbet has already posted a betting market listing Tunny as an odds-on favourite to win the role at $1.90, ahead of Wilkinson ($3.25), Harris ($4) and Swan ($6).

Thank goodness she isn’t anywhere near getting promoted. My bet is Georgie Tunny or potentially Chrissie Swan given both did a great job whilst Carrie was absent this year.

I mentioned Abbie as a joke but why doesn’t that surprise me. She’s been on the show once and the 2nd time got cancelled cause the Queen died.
