Agree. And if only Carrie and her righteousness was moved on for a few weeks the show might be watchable (like Friday’s).
I can’t believe I’m agreeing with you yet again.
He’s improved immensely in his hosting role but he often comes across as arrogant or aggressive when he’s trying to be a smatarse or funny.
I was referring to Hamish MacDonald. My dislike of him comes down to his interview style which was appalling the few times he actually rocked up for work on The Late News. Not to mention his doco series which was one long self indulged music video. Surprised to see him back on Ten after his hissy fit after Ten honchos told him his series was underwhelming. The Sydney newsroom certainly weren’t sad to see him go.
As for Waleed, I think he’s great. He’s disliked by many as he asks the hard questions which many don’t want to answer. His monologues on the whole are brilliant. He regularly cops flack for absolutely no reason. The Warne fiasco is a perfect example.
Is distaste a verb now?
Or are you afraid to use the word hate?
Waleed Aly makes me go to sleep or even not bother watching it at all. I would like to see how Bolt would go ratings wise on The Project
As the host?
Have you fogotten that he was on the show for years before Steve Price replaced him? No improvement in ratings when he was on.
Personally, I think Andrew Bolt on The Project would be a million times worse than Waleed Aly!
Of course you do. Maybe its because you don’t understand what he is saying. Open your mind to some other opinions and perhaps you won’t ‘fall asleep’.
When you aren’t moonlighting as the head of Ten’s publicity department you must be engaged in a fledgling stand up comedy routine.
I have a similar view on people’s dislike of him too.
Again, a confident, very knowledgeable journalist with extensive overseas experience; AJ, 4, ABC etc. I agree though, at times his interviewing technique comes off as somewhat arrogant, but again, like Waleed, he delves down into areas that often aren’t explored. He’s excellent at investigative journalism, shown through his regular exclusives on The Project in the past, but also with The Truth Is?[quote=“Mischievous1, post:144, topic:160”]

???
I thought it was great. Just a shame not enough people watched it.
Are you sure about the nature of him leaving Ten? What you said sounds like bullshit to me but okay.
Very reliable Ten source.
Totally disagree regarding The Truth Is? IMO it was self indulgent dribble.
As was the Assange ‘interview’ which had zero substance. Tapping away at a typewriter in an abandoned warehouse? Was he channelling Carrie Bradshaw?
His bosses at Ten were probably just relieved to have a $500k (probably more once you include his expensive projects) employee walking out the door.
Same story with Bathie at Seven.
Agreed on that one ![]()
