The Project (2015-Sept 2020)

Yes, they said last night that they were coming to Sydney so Ben Stiller could be live with them on the desk.

Maybe some Australia Day stories from Sydney too? There’s the concert at the Sydney Opera House that Ten are screening tonight so there’s a tie-in with that too.

I was there tonight, they are filming in Sydney next Monday too. Dawn French is “co-hosting” apparently.

What’s the story with the addition of the spotlights tonight? They are playing havoc with the background and lighting.

They were in Sydney tonight from what I believe.

Anjali Rao on the show tonight, I know she’s appeared on Studio 10 a couple of times now but is this the first time on The Project?

She would be a great fill in across the network, I could easily see her fitting in well into any of the news & current affairs shows.

She’s been on The Project before but I think it was quite a while ago. Maybe when Charlie was still around.

She has also filled in for Carrie before.

Anjali co-hosted in late December.

She actually use to be a regular guest a few years back, and yes she has also filled in for Carrie before.

She went over to SBS for Dateline and stopped guesting around that time IIRC.

###The Project To Broadcast Live From Adelaide**

Monday 7 March To Friday 11 March

Network Ten is delighted to announce The Project is moving to Adelaide for a week in March, showcasing the city to a national audience.

Network Ten and Roving Enterprises will bring The Project to Adelaide from Monday, 7 March to Friday, 11 March for the “Mad March” festival period.

South Australian Tourism Minister, Leon Bignell said: “The entire nation will have an insider’s view of our incredible city when The Project takes Australia’s festival capital to the rest of the country.

“With the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Adelaide Festival and WOMADelaide on at this time it is the perfect opportunity for hosts Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar to be here.

“The rest of the country will be able to see why South Australia was recently named the Best Event State in the nation,” he added.

Adelaide Oval will be home to The Project hosts Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar, who will be broadcasting live in front of a studio audience.

The Project host Carrie Bickmore said: “Adelaide knows how to put on a show for locals and visitors alike. I love coming to Adelaide in March. Year in year out, there is such a buzz in the city with just so much going on. I’m thrilled that we can bring the show to Adelaide for an entire week, and to spend some down time on Glenelg beach”.

That’s great they’re doing a week OB from Adelaide. Good variety for the show.

Great idea. Hopefully they can go to a few more cities throughout the year.

I know its great that they are doing it but why not do it the week before, for the Clipsal 500

I would assume this has more to do with the fact that the fringe is on and there are a lot of people out in Adelaide at this time.

Tonight’s episode was filmed in Sydney obviously for Kristin Davis’ visit to the city. Ryan Fitzgerald was also on the panel.

They go to all that effort to come to get Kristin Davis on the show, who was a very good interview subject by the way, then they have her on for just a few minutes. They spend most of the interview only showing her in a quarter of the screen and replaying the footage from the opening package in the other three quarters of the screen. Then they cut her off before she spoke about anything else apart from her charity work. Fucking idiots!

Why do they keep pushing these interviews to the end of the show and always cutting them off? Why won’t they learn? Put the interview after the first break past 7pm. Then extend or shorten the interview depending on the quality of the guest. If they’re really good then drop bits from the end of the show or hold them off until the next day.

Cutting the last guest off every single night drives me insane. Huge downfall of the show.

The Project were definitely not in Sydney tonight. They were on the regular set in their regular studio. Fitzy and Kristin Davis must have flown down during the day.

Hopefully with OB’s in Adelaide during the Fringe, fingers crossed they may do similar during Brisbane Comedy Festival :slightly_smiling:
