@JBar totally agree with you.
Carrie is perfect in this more relaxed format. And when needed Carrie can handle the serious news very well indeed in my opinion.

Chris Bath and Natarsha Belling are both great fill-in hosts but I prefer Carrie. If The Project. was just about news I would agree with you but itâs not. Its more than just that and thatâs why Carrie is better suited in my eyes.
[/quote] I agree with you. Listening to Chris reading the news headlines was much more soothing and trustworthy than when Carrie does it. As I said, Carrie is really great with chemistry and the team. She also suits they format of the show, however I would like someone else do the news headlines. Sorry Carrie
Yep, thatâs the issue. Unfortunately, Ten donât have anything to offer her other than filling in here and there. Then thereâs the question of whether or not she would consider signing with Ten.
Look @nationalnews l do see your point about Chris of course she is going to sound better at reading News headlines with all her experience, but how long are the actual headlines,itâs not like we have 30 minutes of someone reading News on this show.
5pm Sydney and let the other host take 52 weeks off a year instead of 40?
Bath is much better than a 5pm afternoon slot.
maybe so, but her contract wouldnât allow her 40 weeks off a year like the current anchor!
No chance of Bath signing a contract to replace her close friend. A female doubleheader at 5pm would be a winner though. Never going to happen however as Bath would come with a hefty price tag.
Bath might be happy with job sharing and filling in when newsreaders/presenters are away. She could pop up on Ten News, Studio 10 and The Project throughout the year.
Possibly, though I doubt she would lock herself in with the network if it was just to float around different shows/bulletins.
Besides, they already have Natarsha Belling filling that role at the moment.
Bath looks very happy travelling around at present, might not want a full time gig.
Be nice to see her pop up on Channel Nine, I reckon sheâd do well on Today or even perhaps Mornings. But watched parts of her on the project last night and she slotted right in
Thereâs a report in news.com.au today
SPORTING a coral-red jacket matching the cast on her busted right wrist, TV presenter Chris Bath stepped back into the spotlight last night as part of what sheâs terming her new job â fly in, fly out worker.
Chris Bath joins The Project after leaving Sunday Night
âI havenât signed with Ten, Iâm just filling in for Carrie, with the training wheels back on,â she said.
âItâs different sitting on the panel (on The Project) to being in the driverâs seat â and thatâs what Waleed (Aly) and Carrie do â so it was more care and responsibility than previously when Iâd been on.
âCareer-wise at the moment, Iâm FIFO â fly in, fly out.
âIâm working everywhere, but nowhere, and itâs fun.â
Bathâs busted wrist is an unwanted gift she received on Christmas Eve with the family in Queenstown, when she slipped while boarding a boat on Lake Wakitipu.
Includes pictures of the cast on her hand.
Last nightâs âcolour-matchedâ on-air outfit was a happy accident rather than an attempt to conceal the cast. A fresh cast was put on last week, with Bath choosing red because the other options â blue or green â would have disappeared on certain backgrounds in the lights of a TV studio.
I just watched tonightâs entire episode on tenplay without any ads, it was glorious. If they had a paid all access subscription option, take my money!
Anyway, great to see them using some of their own resources tonight with a cross to Amanda Jason in Sydney to talk about the heatwave across the country.
@killy06. I can remember a few years ago over summer when we would have extreme heat conditions in some states they use to cross to Magdalena Roze for weather reports on the show.
Now she is a talented all-rounder that is missed!
Chris Bath has really come into her own this week. She was a little unsure when it came to ad-libbing early on but has become a lot more comfortable. Hopefully she will be back soon.
Gorgi Coghlan said on twitter she is returning to the show next Friday night.
They couldnât have found a different backdrop where Fox Sports wasnât plastered all over the wall?
Those links between Foxtel/Fox Sports and TEN keep getting stronger.
Any reason why the project are in Sydney tonight?
Ben Stiller interview?
