TLR must be back on-air soon as every other post on 10’s Facebook page is old clips from the show.
I’m keen to see the new look version, whatever that will be.

New set, format and logo for The Living Room. The new logo looks great and fresh. Promo via Facebook:
Promo just aired on 10. Love the logo. Promo looked good.
By the looks of that promo the show won’t be coming from the studios in pyrmont. Wonder what the go is there? Must cost a fair bit.
Might just be for the promo
That’s quite a well-known warehouse/factory that’s been converted to a residence in Newtown. That mural is new. I took a photo of it a couple of weeks ago and I thought they hadn’t finished it.
I can’t believe I didn’t notice the logo near the side entrance on that day. The back section backs onto Camperdown Memorial Rest Park.
Feels so fresh and so on brand for 10
Just hate the VO - she yells. Very NOT 10 to me.
It does look fresh, tidy little promo for the show too - personally I don’t mind the voiceover woman.
So do we think the show is going to come from this location or still from 10’s Pyrmont studio? Maybe they’ll do without a studio audience now, especially since it’s now almost impossible to do.
I don’t mind the new logo, but I hate when the same typeface is used for other headings etc. I also don’t really like the red with mint 10 logo, but I like all the colours and animation of the logo at the end.
The show has a new EP - Caroline Swift, former director of development at Fremantle Australia.
House This For Great News?
Australia’s most-loved hosts Amanda, Chris, Barry and Miguel have unpacked their boxes, kept their glassware in-tact and managed to pivot their couch ever-so-perfectly.
That’s right. The Living Room is back.
From a new home base in the real world, to serving up a multitude of uplifting and inspiring stories, our awesome foursome have you covered with all the genuine warmth, infectious chemistry and hilarity we’ve come to expect.
Do you mean at the very end? ‘The new season of the Living Room in 10?’
Looks great! Wonder how they have managed to swing that location.
Great idea with the real house in burbs. Clearly this brief was way out of WTFNs capability and budget.
I think this is going to be a winner for 10 going forward.
But I wonder if this is a temporary plan while Coronavirus is happening. Surely this would be a massive inconvenience for the person who actually lives in the house, if it was permanent.
The building is for sale, so maybe it was vacant?
That makes sense then.
Interesting, based on the promo the inside looks totally different to those pictures, and not just the styling - the kitchen looks totally different, outside has been painted and has the mural etc.
I can’t imagine 10 would’ve bought it as price indications are between 3-5 million for this property, but it’s hard to imagine they signed a long term lease as that could affect the sale for any prospective purchaser.
Photos could be old. Many agents take the lazy approach of usually advertising a sale online very quickly having using photos still on file from years ago. I just moved out of oneness place and they advertised it from the photos when I moved in 7 years ago. It has changed quite a bit since then so misleading and lazy.
This property seems to have been on the market since 2018 maybe earlier. I think there’s a photo there with the index 2015 on it too.
I had also taken a photo of this building from the front, for my blog, a few years ago. When I was researching it, I seem to recall seeing a story about the eccentric guy who owned it and was renovating it. I can’t seem to find that story online now so may be I saw it in a newspaper or the Good Weekend. He had already renovated some of it and had plans for more. It would be an interesting read.
