The 6 month hiatus of this show will hurt in the ratings. The audiences have moved on and forgotten about it.

If you forget about something just because it’s been off air for 6 months, many shows would have been forgotten by now. Most shows, especially scripted series have 4-6 months between seasons.
Starts July finishes… December?
Most reality shows have more than a six month break between seasons.

This show is normally on 40 weeks. It’s a different genre from drama or reality where there can be months between seasons.
Calm down. People have good memories. A break can be refreshing too.

Worth noting that Gardening Australia finishes its current season next week on 26 June. Starting 3 July ABC will have Monty Don’s Japanese Gardens which will probably be less competition for the Living Room.

Definitely not ideal for it to have been off air for so long, especially after it’s ratings were rather soft the last year or so.
Launching without Gardening Australia being on air can only be a good thing tho, with people maybe people channel hopping for an alternative.

When did Gardening Australia started to take a mid-year break? Thought the show aired year-round
I think it’s just a wait and see if the audience responds positively to the refresh. The key crew seem pretty confident in it.

10 socials seem to be a bit strange at the moment, but about 4 days ago the old ‘Bondi Rescue on TEN’ FB page started sharing videos from TLR, especially Chris Brown related pet stories.
Now the profile photo and header image have been updated with the new TLR branding, web address and description - but the name hasn’t updated yet.
I wonder if WTFN retained the old FB page (I cant see it, which I figure is cause I’m not in Australia), or they plan to merge these two pages? Strange…

Actually looks like they could just be making it the pet page for TLR based on content so maybe wanting to keep the Bondi vet branding for Chris?
Yes and Bondi Vet moved to Nine so wise to merge the old Bondi Vet one with The Living Room.
