The increasingly crowded streaming market

They could’ve expanded into the porn market and called their next service “Flashers”.:rofl::rofl:

Narrowly beating out “Australian Financial Institution” as the best quote from that release.

And to think, audiences don’t want to fork out $14.99 a month for this? Can’t see why that’d be the case

Check out 11 Network Australia

And their “second screen” Big Brother show

Channel Eleven us back. :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess Mike’s show for 7 didn’t get picked up again this season?

I’ve never heard of this 11 Network, but they’ve got a bit of a presence online producing news updates and other content. Their YouTube channel has a decent amount of subscribers and a video or two with a solid amount of views.

Wonder how Network 10 feel about the use of 11 for a online TV network of sorts / streaming service in Australia.

Terrible logo; if going for 11 definitely use a font with a little serif to make it clear they’re the numeral one.
At first it reminded me of iiNet, but it could’ve as easily been Il or ll or II (as in Roman for 2).

My first thought was it was somehow connected to Netflix because it’s so close to their logo. I wonder if it is intentional.

The animation is definitely intentional.

It doesn’t look like an 11 at all until you’re told it’s 11. I’m pretty sure that’s a rookie mistake when it comes to logo design.

I was doing a bit of research this morning, and it’s registered as a trademark to “Online News Corporation Pty Ltd” and seems to be run out of a website called “Brisbane Online News”. Not much information behind them.

According to the Trademark Registry, 11, “Channel 11”, etc, were never accepted as trademarks to be held by Network Ten. So… it doesn’t matter how they feel about it, they don’t really have a legal standing either way.

Online News Corporation Pty Ltd runs a stack of news aggregation sites that scrape the internet for news content, they then repost the stories amongst a wealth of ads. This 11 Network seems like a more honest venture.

Their website is just scraping YouTube content I’m fairly sure.
