4:30pm Sunday official or speculation? Why would they wait almost 24 hours to air The Great Outdoors from original screening in NSW/Vic/Tas
Official
However, I say that because the show might perform well and stay at 7pm.
The show is not really a s âspoilerâ type show - 24 hours would not mater. There is a lot of sport on Saturdays hence why it cant air 4.30 Saturday.
This sounds like speculation to be honest because with daylight saving starting this weekend in most states and territories and QLD not having daylight saving, QLD is 1 hour behind, so if it airs at 4:30pm, it would be airing at the same time as NSW/Vic and TAS due to 1 hour time difference.
As for sport, usually itâs horse racing this time of year and it usually moves to 7Two from 5pm and if it goes through to 6pm AEDST, then the coverage was left half hour early, it would be doing so at same time as SA being half hour behind NSW/Vic/Tas
The man said âofficialâ.
I literally said official.
For example on 19 October, Horse Racing airs all day on Seven finishing at 5pm on the main channel in Brisbane, putting Seven News at 5 then Creek to Coast.
On Sunday 20th there is no sport, so there is an encore of The Voice, Border Security repeat and encore Better Homes and Gardens. The Great Outdoors can slip in there. Brisbane then have Seven News at 5 and Weekender at 530
This made me think, whatâs Tom Williams up to these days? I recall he went (back?) into trade, but more as an executive or got into property/development?
Once one of Sevenâs all-rounder, go-to guys, across about 15 years from the early 2000s. From lifestyle and travel, to entertainment, sport and light news/current affairs and everything in-between.
I feel like The Daily Edition and/or Pyeongchang Winter Olympics (or maybe it was GC Comm Games in 2018 or Rio 2016) mightâve been his last. I remember he jumped in to rescue TDE, when Ryan Phelan was immediately let go, following serious DV allegations or something.
Itâd be great for Seven to get him back on one of these lifestyle shows or BH&G or Sunrise/WS/TMS as a guest one day
He worked as a real estate agent since 2020 works for Asset Reports, a real estate business founded by his sister-in-law. His expertise in 3D Virtual Tour technology and Interactive Site Maps.
Odd you would kick off the show with an overseas destination.
Why is it odd?
Itâs Getaway, why wouldnât they?
Local is always better (especially than Texas). You get to put local communities on the telly, help local businesses and, honestly, it is more practical and affordable for the viewers liking what they see and booking a trip.
Iâm not saying donât travel internationally. I just donât think it sends the right message to kick off your first show and the first location is overseas. We have great places here too.
But isnât that what the likes of Sydney Weekender, Postcards and SA Cosi etc are for? The Great Outdoors has always been local and international.
People like travelling overseas.
Looks like it is a Seven in-house production.
Overseas trips like the one to Switzerland featured tonight are not cheap, I think there are a few sponsorships linked with the shoot.
Huh? Itâs not. Itâs The Great Outdoors.
If itâs product placement theyâll go wherever the paying advertisers says theyâll go
Probably more than a few, and would be one of the only reason this show exists.
Itâs their answer to Getaway tho isnât it?
It was and it always had overseas destinations even in the original season.
