Star funnyman to join Mick, Sam and Andy at the Bar in 2020

Happy Hour will be extended at The Front Bar in 2020 after the hit Seven footy show pulled off the recruiting coup of the summer, snaring Aussie fan favourite Andy Lee as its newest star.

Front Bar chief recruiting officer Mick Molloy was ecstatic when – in a shock development – Lee was still available at pick No. 5 in the TV Show Draft.

''Obviously, he’ll learn a lot from working with two of the industry giants … and Andy Maher,’’ Molloy said on Friday.

Lee, a Carlton diehard, was equally excited when presented with his first Front Bar flannel ahead of his much-anticipated debut.

''Management and I weighed up all of our available options and it certainly wasn’t just a money issue … it had a lot to do with a lifelong supply of beer which The Morning Show couldn’t match,’’ Lee said.

The Front Bar returns to Seven soon.
