The Front Bar

Seven has made a funny clip to pitch the show to potential advertisers.

Sam Pang said on Nova 100 this morning that the season premiere tonight would have a different vibe with no studio audience. He said Andy Lee would make his first appearance on the show and Luke Hodge would be a special guest.

This show definitely needs a studio audience. Surprised they aren’t having one. There’s no official government restriction on audiences of that size at this stage so it’s a little odd.

Even a small audience of 25 people makes a big difference. Hopefully the crew are in a good mood.

Although the public won’t be allowed into the studio, I read somewhere that network staff will be in the audience for tonight.

Very smart decision. Hopefully with a couple of drinks in them as well. Comedy shows don’t work without an audience.

Looking forward to The Front Bar for some light-hearted entertainment

You’ll find most media companies are not allowing visitors in the premises currently.

Tonight’s show started a few minutes late because HSV showed AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan’s press conference live at around 7.45pm.

No Front Bar in next week’s schedule.

Fair enough. As I previously said, no use having people in the building / studio etc when it’s not required. Hopefully we can see them on The Good Friday Coverage.

Tonight’s episode is live into Sydney (most other times it is delayed).

On the main channel?

Yes.

Fair enough!
It’s not like they’ve talking about AFL tonight.

So will Front Bar be staying in the schedule now with no sport on - they seem to be able to make a decent show without the sport.

I’ve always been busy when Front Bar has been on so have only watched pieces in the past but now that my gigs have been cancelled it’s a pretty good show I’m finding to just sit back and laugh with especially with so much other crap going on in the world. I know people don’t like Andy Maher but I do like the three (/four) of them together.

Andy Maher just said at the end of tonight’s show: “see you soon”. So looks like The Front Bar will be off air indefinitely.
