Realistically though, how many of the people turning up to these “Open for Inspection” events are going to bid? The vast majority of people are going to be fans who want to see the houses.
Was anyone else looking at the sisters room upstairs and thinking its a holiday house and if kids are climbing on those lounges they could go over that wall edge?
I think it kind of proves how out of touch the show is with the average Australian. I think the good thing about the inspections is the fans have been on the journey with them and it’s their way of being apart of the show. I think it’s quite a shame.
EPISODE 38
It’s a tough week for Maddy and Charlotte, as they try to get approval for a special bed upstairs that includes bunk beds. After much discussion because of engineering issues, they finally got approval.
The contestants head to the family fun fair challenge and get the surprise of their lives as all their family and friends arrive on Phillip Island on a yacht.
Kylie and Brad are delighted as they see their four kids for the first time in ten weeks.
The family fun fair challenge is a huge hit and Kristian and Mimi end up taking it out after getting the most votes for their stall, which is an old fashioned dunking machine.
All the families head back to The Block and are so proud of the Blockheads and everything they have achieved.
EPISODE 39
It’s a rainy day on The Block as the Blockheads families head home after a night on site at Phillip Island.
There are lots of trade issues across the board, as the contestants struggle to lock in local trades on the Island.
Maddy and Charlotte are having all sorts of issues with their downstairs laundry and get told off by Foreman Dan for tiling before installing the Kinsman cabinets.
Maddy is in tears, as The Block becomes overwhelming.
Scott and Shelley do their walk arounds and Shelley gives Maddy and Charlotte a big hug, this week is their toughest on The Block
The day finished on a nice note as Tom and Sarah Jane from The Block Gisborne 2022 hosted a charity BBQ for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
They are supporting the Pink Tradie campaign and all the Blockheads agree this is such a worthy charity to support.
EPISODE 40
The Blockheads are all working hard to try and finish off the rest of the inside of their houses and deliver another guest bedroom and laundry.
Kylie, Mimi and Courtney head to the pub for a drink and reflect on the close friendship the three have formed over the past couple of months.
There are some trade issues again which has been a common theme on Phillip Island, including Kristian and Mimi who are trying to find yet another tiler.
Ricky and Haydn head into Cowes for a few drinks after finishing their rooms early, they have come a long way from the start of The Block when they struggled to finish their rooms on time.
Scotty calls “tools down,” and judging commences. Scott gives the contestants some good news first. Freedom is providing $10,000 of outdoor furniture and $10,000 of cash to the Blockheads for their landscaping.
House 1 Maddy and Charlotte spent $26,043
Initially Marty thought the elevated bed was a great idea but by the end, he, Shaynna and Darren thought it was a mistake, especially as it was situated above a double bed.
The judges noticed the spaces were unfinished and it obviously was a tough week for them.
House 2 Courtney and Grant spent $24,361
The judges were impressed Courtney and Grant listened to them and changed the layout of their upstairs space, it’s now a fully contained area and it really works.
Shaynna complemented Courtney on her amazing design style.
The bedroom upstairs was a 10. The laundry was good but not perfect.
House 3 Ricky and Haydn spent $30,544
The addition of bunk beds in the boys guest bedroom was well received. Now Ricky and Haydn’s house can sleep 12 guests. The judges thought Ricky and Haydn have finally hit their straps and have built a very family friendly home. The powder room in the laundry was a hit.
House 4 Kylie and Brad spent $26,260
The judges weren’t very complimentary of Kylie and Brad’s efforts again this week. They thought the bedroom wasn’t functional when it came to the layout. They weren’t a fan of the black and white laundry. Kylie was furious and made it very clear she wasn’t happy.
House No.5 Kristian and Mimi spent $34,160
The biggest issues the judges had was that the front bedroom was in the wrong place, it should be where the rumpus Kristian and Mimi delivered last week. The laundry was their favourite laundry of the day.
After playing their penguin Courtney and Grant took out the win.

Tonight’s episode they said they sat down to watch episode 1 but then they had footage of the sisters turnng up which was weeks later. Think they just stirring shit for the sake of stirring shit.
EPISODE 41
It’s one of the biggest weeks on The Block, backyard and pool week.
A swarm of landscapers arrive early in the morning to start work on the five gardens and it’s absolutely chaos from very early in the morning.
The contestants watched the first episode of The Block together in Kylie and Brad’s house and it had everyone talking.
Sisters Maddy and Charlotte saw first hand some of the negative reactions of the other
Blockheads when they arrived and they can’t understand how some people can be so mean.
Kylie wasn’t at the screening, she went to bed after another night of negative feedback.
There are some familiar landscapers back on The Block including Troy Lovett, who has won landscaping week twice before.
Ricky and Haydn along with their builder Duncan don’t have a landscaper after they struggled to lock one in.
Kylie and Brad’s week doesn’t start great, because they are at the back of The Block and it’s a struggle to get deliveries down. It’s going to be a long week on The Block for Kylie and Brad.
Courtney and Grant head away for their winners dinner and are greeted by Block Allstars Dale and Sophie.
Back at The Block, the rest of the cast gather at Maddy and Charlotte’s house for the weekly chumps dinner but it soon turns to chaos.
The first episode is brought up and Ricky asks the girls how they felt and their previous experience is once again brought up and Maddy tries to defend herself.
Kylie is having none of it and she walks out.
EPISODE 42
Everyone is talking about Kylie after she walked out of Maddy and Charlotte’s dinner after their working background was brought up again.
Maddy has woken up very sad and there are lots of tears, she just can’t understand Kylie’s problem.
Landscaping continues and the biggest issue on The Block is the deliveries, as the driveway into The Block is one truck in, one truck out.
Kristian and Mimi ask Maddy and Charlotte out to dinner as they feel bad that they have been excluded so many times, and they head down to the local Phillip Island pub.
Everyone joins them but Kylie and Brad, who stay at home.
Troy Lovett is a gun landscaper but he is continuing to upset The Block builders Nine In Six as he doesn’t listen to anyone else and it’s all about House 5.
Ricky and Haydn win $5000 worth of fishing equipment after solving a riddle that takes up most of their days.
The money keeps on coming for the boys as they take out another challenge - winning $10,000 from Zero after being the best on The Block when it comes to managing budget.
The other teams are very naive/ignorant to think that they didn’t have some sort of experience prior to joining the show. The producers would never put novices up against teams with five weeks experience.
The other teams need to stop bullying the girls and realise that their behaviour is not a good look, especially for Kylie who has four children.
Very awkward tv again tonight watching this attempt at a redemption arc for Mimi.
Feel for the girls even more.
EPISODE 43
Troy Lovett has been on The Block three times now and he continues to use that advantage and push the limits.
He has one huge blow up after another with The Block builders Nine In Six, and ends up getting House 5 shut down.
Scott and Shelley walk around and the annual depreciation challenge is announced, where the Blockheads have to guess how much has been spent on their houses including all the furniture, appliances, and art work.
House 4 win the challenge and $5000, but that’s where the happy times end for Kylie and Brad.
They are having major issues with their landscaping. Including their landscaper Clay who forgot to order plants.
Brad and Kylie being at the back of The Block also means it’s nearly impossible sometimes to get deliveries on time.
It’s looking very unlikely that they will finish.
So this week Ricky and Hayden have been handed cash every night. Is it cause they are so far behind?
RETURNING IN 2025
For the first time, Australia’s longest-running renovation show, The Block, is heading to a country town for its landmark 21st season.
Just 90 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, picturesque Daylesford is the perfect weekend getaway, with a rich history reflected in its beautifully preserved heritage buildings.
Co-hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft, along with five eager new teams, will relocate to Daylesford and be challenged to add country charm to five luxury, family-sized homes in a prime greenfield setting.

The Block is a Nine production in conjunction with Cavalier Television.
EPISODE 44 Backyard reveal
Our contestants are all limping to the finish line on a rainy weekend on Phillip Island as they struggle to complete backyard and pool week.
House 4’s Kylie and Brad are in all sorts of pain after their landscaper seemed to forget about ordering plants. There have been a number of issues all week for Kylie and Brad and their landscaper Clay. Krsitian and Mimi’s landscaper, Troy Lovett, who has done The Block twice, arrives down to House 4 to give them a hand to try and finish.
Maddy and Charlotte have a drama at the last minute after they get a Ceaserstone bench delivered for their outdoor bbq. The problem is Ceaserstone is now banned in Victoria, and they have to come up with a different solution.
Sunday morning arrives and it’s clear Kylie and Brad have not finished their backyard and they are very deflated.
Scotty arrives and “tool’s down” is called and there are some incredible backyards and pool areas.
Shaynna, Marty and Darren this week are joined by Dave Franklin.
Maddy and Charlotte House No.1
The judges were impressed with the scale of the backyard. The BBQ area looked great. An entertainer’s dream Marty called the space.
Courtney and Grant House No.2
The judges loved everything about this backyard and pool area. Beautiful plants. The fire pit was amazing. Phenomenal BBQ area.
Ricky and Haydn House No.3
While they loved the yard and the simplicity of it, the judges in particular Shaynna wanted more. The pool area was very impressive. A lot of space for a young family to work with.
Kylie and Brad House No.4
Unfortunately not many positive comments for Kylie and Brad. The unfinished space just didn’t work for the judges.
Kristian and Mimi House No.5
Amazing job for what is the biggest backyard on The Block. They did wonder though why there was no BBQ in the backyard. They loved the basketball court.
After judging Courtney and Grant take out the win and get two tens, taking home $30,000.

Earlier in the season there was a clip of Kylie interrupting Scotty during judging and he scolded her for it.
Has this since been cut? Has it happened and I’ve missed it? I doubt it’s happening over the next two reveals.
EPISODE 45
It’s week 12 on The Block and all of our contestants are tired and ready to go home.
Especially Kylie and Brad, who have reached breaking point.
At the Domain Open For Inspections on the Monday morning there is obviously something very wrong with Kylie, as she refuses to talk to Brad.
The contestants this week are finishing off their houses, with landscaping the rest of their house including the front gardens.
Brad reveals that the reason why Kylie isn’t talking to him because he said some inappropriate comments to Mimi.
It wasn’t only that, there was what appeared to be flirting between Brad and Mimi in a scandal that is about to rock The Block.
Courtney and Grant head to their winners dinner where they are greeted by Deb and Andy from The Oslo season of The Block.
It’s at this dinner that Scotty tells Courtney and Grant that Kylie has left The Block. She drove her car to the Aldi car park in the afternoon and left and hasn’t been since.
Brad headed to the car park, and figured out what was going on.
Kylie left to go home to Cairns, after she couldn’t deal with what went on between Kristian and Mimi.
Will she be back? That remains to be seen.
Theyre coming to the end of the build so they need some MAFS type drama
EPISODE 46
A new day on The Block and everyone is talking about about Kylie leaving The Block and heading back to Cairns.
Tina the McCafe barista tells Mimi about Kylie leaving and she claims she has no idea about it. But later on Courtney reveals that she texted Mimi that Kylie had left as soon as she found out after Scott told her.
Scott does a walk around and speaks to Mimi and Kristian, checking in on Mimi to make sure she is OK and she says she wasn’t bothered by anything that supposedly went on between her and Brad.
He also tells Brad some good news, Kylie is on her way back to The Block to try and finish the job.
She is worried about her marriage breaking down on national television, but she really wants to finish House 4 so she can take something away from the whole experience.
In nicer news, Maddy and Charlotte’s Dad arrives to visit and check our House No.1, and they promptly put him to work.
Ricky and Haydn reach out to Brad and reveal he is going to stay at their house, to give Kylie some space.
Kristian is starting to feel overwhelmed again, as he and Mimi face huge budget issues.
As Kylie returns to The Block, Brad is in tears at what he has done? Is their marriage over? It certainly is tense times on The Block.
I don’t really understand what Brad did. I haven’t been able to watch it this week. But did he just say he would subscribe to Mimi’s only fans if she launched one? To me it seems like a joke. I do remember a few weeks ago he was complaining about her in a text and I was more on her side with that one. Although I am sure it’s quite normal to complain about your partner.
