The Bachelorette

The Bachelorette Australia.

Premieres Wednesday, 7 October At 7.30pm

In a world first, The Bachelorette Australia will take viewers on a magical journey of romance and discovery, as sisters and best friends Elly and Becky Miles search for ever-lasting love when The Bachelorette Australia premieres on Wednesday, 7 October at 7.30pm.

These warm, caring and beautiful women are looking for a partner, a soulmate and a true love that they can share their lives with. And in just three days, Elly and Becky’s lives will change forever when they meet 20 handsome and accomplished men.

Hailing from Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Italy, England and of course Australia, and aged between 24 and 35 years of age, these eligible Bachelors have been busy establishing businesses, searching for gold, handling explosives, building and valuing properties, filmmaking and personal training. And now, they’re ready to put love first.

The Bachelors representing NSW in their hunt for love will be Joe, Nick, Pascal, Rudy, Sam, Samuel and Shannon.

When asked what he was looking for in his perfect partner, Mr Polynesia Australia 2017, Shannon said: “Family oriented, affectionate, loving and supportive.”

Victoria’s dynamic duo are Agostino and Damien.

Charismatic Damien describes himself as “honest, fun and reliable” and is hoping that by just being himself, he will catch the eye of Bachelorette’s Elly and Becky.

From Queensland there are AB, Adrian, Frazer and James.

The Sunshine Coast’s James reveals his dream date would be filled with “laughter, good food and a great first kiss”.

Representing South Australia are Andrew, Harry, Pete and Saj.

Saj, a positive and passionate personal trainer, doesn’t believe in love at first sight as “there is more to a person than their beauty”.

And from Western Australia are Adam, Jake and Trent.

A great conversationist and confident finance broker, Trent has never been on a bad first day and is hoping “being a strong and positive vibe” will make him stand out from the crowd.

It’s on the red carpet where the sisters will meet their potential partners, and this charming and talented group of men will be sure to leave a lasting impression on our Bachelorettes.

So, with double the Bachelorettes, double the dates, double the fun and double the romance, will Elly and Becky finally find their happily ever after?

As always, there is a party pack for the season premiere.

Some very good looking guys in there. Joe, Damien and Frazer. This season has my attention now :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, that was a first - a bachelor (AB) declined to accept a rose at the rose ceremony and quit the competition. Nick and Samuel were then eliminated. Would there be intruders down the track?

I thought it was a good first episode and the two Bachelorettes I thought were quite good.

Far fewer ‘crazies’ than usual.

Anyone else think that Adam looked like Farmer Dave from gay farmer from Big Brother?

Why did they get rid of the Italian guy? I thought they had some sort of connection. And the dolphin guy seemed interesting.

Osher was clearly edited in at the start of the rose ceremony tonight. No sign of him after the contestant was eliminated either.

So in reality, many rose ceremonies went ahead without Osher, who was in Melbourne filming The Masked Singer.

Harry, who won the country rose in last night’s season premiere, was runner-up on House Rules season 5 in 2017 with his then partner Kate Whiting. Harry and Kate share a five-year-old son Xavier together, but they called time on their relationship in 2018, after nine years together.

Another episode with Osher only appearing via edit - not at cocktail party or after the rose ceremony.

This season has been such a snooze. I find Becky really awkward and don’t think she was the right choice as the Bachelorette. The two Bachelorette thing just makes it harder to follow too. I wouldn’t be surprised if the rumours of a lot of the guys not being very interested is true because a lot of them just feel like they are coasting along.

A promo for Hometown Week aired during Gogglebox tonight. By my calculations, the season finale should air on Thursday, November 12. Hometown Week is expected to air on Wednesday, November 4, the same night as State of Origin opener.

The promo for tonight makes it look like that Elly might do a Honey Badger and not pick either Frazer or Joey…

Probably the least memorable season of The Bachelorette to date, and there’s two of them.

Yeh was super excited about the concept of two bachelorettes but they are both snoozefests!!!

Ten really need to recruit well next year for both the bachelor and bachelorette to breathe some life back into the franchise or it might be the last year!!!

Will there be two “Final Decision” in tomorrow’s ratings?

Worst season ever. Becky just was not the right person for The Bachelorette. She was awkward and lacked personality. You could tell nobody was that into her and news comes today that her and Pete have already split (this only finished filming a few weeks ago).

Elly was great and this season would have been so much better if it was just Elly. I feel like we didn’t get to know her and the guys as much as we should have due to the double format. At least her and Frazer seem to still be together.
