The Bachelorette

So the so-called “heart-wrenching twist” was that Elly travelled to Joe’s lodge and told him that her heart was with Frazer.

So who did Becky choose?

Surprisingly there were less episodes of The Bachelorette than last year.

Becky chose Pete.

And they are no longer together?

Yes. Becky said on Kyle and Jackie O this morning that Pete dumped her over Facetime after only three days together.

Becky also posted on her Instagram early this morning:

Thank you to everyone for coming on this incredible and crazy journey with Elly and I. We came into this experience wanting a fairy tale ending for the two of us, and while I am thrilled that Elly found her person in Frazer, unfortunately things didn’t work out with Pete and I.

Although I wasn’t lucky enough to find my person this time around, I am grateful for this opportunity and leave with fond memories and no regrets.

I wish Pete happiness and all the best in his search for love.

Becky said on Studio 10 that Pete broke up with her over Facetime. She seems very upset.

3 days later? Clearly he didn’t even attempt to give it a go off camera. What a dog.

Who’s taking bets on how long the other “relationship” lasts? My bet is just until he is instafamous.

Nikki Webster says she wants to be the next Bachelorette, after splitting from her husband of seven years Matthew McMah in 2019.

A former Noosa councillor who was booted off the TV dating show The Bachelorette in 2019 over sleazy comments has been fined $4,000 by the state regulator.

Mr Glasgow was serving on the Noosa Council when the show went to air and took leave from his role to appear.

But he was sent home in the second episode after Bachelorette Angie Kent and other contestants accused him of making inappropriate comments.

Glasgow told the ABC that going on the show was a mistake but said the remarks that were broadcast were “edited majorly” and that he intends to appeal against the fine.

“They referred to a lot of stuff in that tribunal report that [the show’s producers] actually told me to do,” he said.

So… he admits to what he did then.

In a social media post, Ms Kent said Mr Glasgow couldn’t blame the show’s production for what appeared on screen.

“If it was hugely edited, then why did I feel so embarrassed and humiliated?” she said.

"Why did other men on the show seem to have quite the issue with him, and members of the crew?

Gimmick?

How so?

I think she’s a great choice personally. She’s likable, comes abroad as genuine and seems like strong independent woman who just happens to be a bi person of colour.

I daresay this is something they have probably wanted to do with the franchise for a while with bringing more diversity to screens - both having an Indigenous person as the face of the show and making the show more inclusive for LGBTQI+ people.

Osher has been very vocal in the past about his support for doing a season which is more inclusive for gay/bi people if they could do it well, and this seems like the perfect opportunity.

Well done to 10 and Warner Bros for doing it.

Plotting the drama of men vs women for her affections.

Casting for the show is now open and given Brooke is bisexual, both men and women are being invited to apply.

How’s that for a plot twist?!

That’s normally how it works with bisexuality
