The Bachelorette

Ten’s press release

The Bachelorette Australia smashed records online and on social media this year. It became the number one television program in Australia in terms of online catch-up viewing, averaging an additional 170,000 viewers per episode. The 5 October episode added 189,000 viewers from online catch-up viewing, a new record for a single episode of any television series.
On tenplay, The Bachelorette Australia recorded more than 17.8 million video segment views – up 62% on the 2016 season – more than 5 million video starts (up 62%) and 1.2 million video unique visitors (up 78%).

The Bachelorette has been a massive online success like Married at First Sight earlier this year.

The casting was very ordinary unfortunately. How Jarrod got as far as he did proves that. Any man and his dog could see they had very little in common.

IMO Stu should never have been allowed to be on the show considering he is still legally married. It’s also unfair to other contestants that people who have previously been acquainted with the Bachelor/Bachelorette are being cast.

The Project has been absolutely slammed for last night’s interview with Sophie and Stu. It was awkward to watch but Meshel really only states what viewers have been saying for weeks.

Its a competition about sophie finding love not the contestants winning money. Who cares. She is happy and that’s what the show aims to achieve.

My housemate tells me its a reference to the Mamamia blog about the bachelor that joked Osher was kept in a basement by Sandra Sully

Plenty of viewers actually. There has been a lot of discussion about it. Especially in regards to The Bachelor. Sophie recognising Stu immediately was a game changer and put everyone else at a disadvantage.

As for Sophie being happy, time will tell.

She found someone she loved. Its not about the fucken viewer its about Sophie.

Is that you Jarrod?

:joy: Spot on!

I was going to ask you the same thing considering you are the one complaining about the outcome.

Not complaining about the outcome at all.
Your inability to have a discussion without throwing a hissy fit is always highly amusing but not as amusing as you believing The Bachelor/Bachelorette is about love :joy::joy::joy:

Not saying it is about love. Just saying viewers shouldn’t really have the say and neither should the contestants on who Sophie chooses at the end of the day. How stupid is it when you say its not fair on the other contestants blah blah blah… Life isn’t fair.

The Daily Telegraph thinks it’s a sham.

Are Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy still together?

They didn’t look all that convincing on The Project last night

There’s was definitely something suss going on there. They’ll probably announce a split on a busy news day. hoping nobody will notice. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Sophie has an interesting video on her Instagram story currently, basically a random person approached them at a restaurant to chat and Sophie has filmed the woman to basically confirm that they’re in fact together.

EDIT: Here’s the video

Maybe the plan is for them to break up early next year allowing Sophie to star in another season of the show.
