The Bachelor Australia

Wasn’t there a casting call on Warner Bros Australia looking for Seniors who want to date?

If that isn’t a big indicator that they will try The Golden Bachelor here in Australia then I don’t know what is.

10 also have not announced a replacement for The Bachelors and their back half of the year is looking quite empty given there’s no The Traitors.

I think 10 will give it one last crack with The Golden Bachelor and I think it will have a decent uptick in ratings that they will justify renewing it for next year or maybe even doing a Golden Bachelorette in addition if ratings explode.

There was, but it’s also no guarantee if the casting process doesn’t produce the right talent then it may not be greenlit.

Assume that is what has probably happened to the Australian version of Hard As Nails.

John Singleton is looking for wife number 8. :stuck_out_tongue:

Quick to marry. Quick to divorce. Did they think they were on MAFS?

10 has axed The Bachelor Australia after 11 seasons.

Would Nine or Seven able to pick this series up?

I doubt anyone would be interested, at least for some time. Both networks have respective dating series that rate a hell of a lot more than this does.

10 could still option the rights, even if they don’t produce a series either, to prevent it going elsewhere.

Why will Nine need The Bachelor when it already has the phenomenon that is Married at First Sight, plus Love Island which always does well on 9Now?

Bring back Perfect Match with Dexter…

Although they have axed The Bachelor, i also can’t seeing it go to Seven and Nine. They have successful dating shows. Dont want to over do the genre.

11 Bachelor seasons, 7 Bachelorette seasons and 3 Bachelor in Paradise seasons (considering the whole franchise is canceled)

21 seasons of a format/franchise is a great run all things considering.

Or make it a Paramount+ exclusive too

From my count that will make them the 7th couple from the franchise to have kids or be expecting:

The Bachelor
Tim and Anna
Sam and Snezana
Matty and Laura
Locky and Irina
Jimmy and Holly

Bachelor in Paradise
Mary and Conor
Glen and Alisha

And who says these people don’t go on the show to find real love :joy:

‘The Bachelor’ has a very good success rate. That’s 5 out of 8 The Bachelor couples that ended the show together that have gone on to have kids (not including The Bachelors or the Honey Badger season as there was no winner).

The Bachelorette was less successful. Lee and Georgia are still together though after 8 years.

Bit more successful than MAFS.

Bachelor had a very good success rate all things considered, shame the franchises just sort of fizzled out.
