The Bachelor Australia

Telling Brea that Wes has lowered his standards for her. I was speechless. What a nasty thing to say.

Surely that was edited. Surely someone cannot be so damn rude to someone they have just met.

Finale - oh dear. What a nasty piece of work.

Side note though - Luke is an absolutely amazing human being. Such a beautiful and kind man. Probably the best Bachelor we’ve had in years.

Who are you referring to?

Wes and his behaviour at the final ceremony with Brea.

OK I agree, for some reason I thought you may have meant the other way around. I don’t understand why he ever applied for the show or how they let him be a Bachelor with his personal views.

I am not sure it’s a good idea to upload the final episode on 10 Play the night before the TV broadcast, because many people will have found out the outcome. This is the one episode that needs to be seen on TV first, to keep the viewers in suspense.

I agree - it doesn’t make sense to release the finale early. Even Love Island made sure the finale was released at the same time as the TV broadcast. I am very cautiously reading this thread today.

I enjoyed watching the finale early! Don’t worry Chris, no spoilers from me. :grinning:

I wonder how 10 got the media to not report on the winners today? It’s out in the public domain so you would assume is open to be reported on. Or does no one actually care?

Likely nobody cares, have you seen the ratings? Won’t return at this rate.

Heartbreaks And Happily-Ever-Afters.

The Bachelors Australia Season Finale.

From tearful goodbyes to heartwarming expressions of love, the season finale of The Bachelors Australia delivered all the feels in a whirlwind of romance, drama and jaw-dropping moments.

In an epic heart-to-heart with our professional rose whisperer and host, Osher Günsberg, The Bachelors spilled the tea on their inner struggles. Luke grappled with the weight of breaking someone’s heart, Ben revealed how far he’s come with sharing his emotions, and Wesley contemplated compromise in his quest for love.

The big day arrived, filled with more suspense than your favourite rom-com. Luke, surrounded by flowers and a fairytale setting, had hearts racing as he laid it all on the line with Ellie, dropping a bombshell “I love you” and giving her a dazzling reassurance ring.

Luke then faced the looming heart-to-heart with Lana, ending in a bittersweet goodbye.

Wesley, with nerves and sincerity, expressed his hopes of a bright future with Brea. But amidst trembling breaths and heartfelt confessions, they faced the hard truth— compromise. With differences too big to ignore, the door on their relationship closed indefinitely.

Ben’s honesty led to an unexpected heartbreak, as he told Angela his heart belonged to someone else. That someone was Mckenna, and Ben paved the way for a beautiful beginning, sealed with a kiss.

But like many love stories, Ben and Mckenna have since decided to part ways and Wes and Brea are still on their hunt for love.

Lovebirds Luke and Ellie are head over heels for each other, and ready for exciting adventures ahead as they begin their happily-ever-after together.

Wes dumped Natalie and Nella in Sunday’s episode 9 to pursuit a relationship with Brea. Given what happened in subsequent episodes, I reckon Natalie and Nella might have dodged a bullet.

Networks here have some weird habit of bringing these failed shows back. Seven has a thing with Big Brother, 10 is in denial with half its shows that it keeps bringing back.

Just be done with it. Why do executives keep signing off on all these now failed shows. They are loss making.

Brea has revealed she found new love.

Ben posted on his Instagram this morning confirming that he and Mckenna had split (as mentioned in 10’s press release above).

What do we think with this franchise now? Do we know if 10 still have the rights?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see it return, say next year even, with maybe a new network to freshen it up, Seven (bringing back all these shows largely successfully) wouldn’t be a shock at Upfronts, unless 10 still hold the licence, even they might. This year has been like a ‘rest’, could even still rest it next year.

The brand is too big, popular and successful (bar the last few seasons) not to come back one day I reckon, it dominated 10’s schedules for much of the later part of the 2010s. Ending in what, the main one and 3 spin-offs, Bachelorette being the biggest of those. And all the now stars, whether on TV or social media, it produced, some were even from the least likely walks of life, such as WIN’s Georgia Love in S2 of Bachelorette in 2016.

I stopped watching after IIRC 2019 or maybe it was the 2020 Bachelor In Paradise (whatever one was near the start of the year - that one was absolutely hilarious).

10 ruined it from 2021 when they went up against the Tokyo Olympics, same with Nine and was it Beauty and the Geek or The Apprentice or both, pretty sure Monk was hosting one of them.
