I’ll be interested to follow the VPM viewing for The Bachelor on tenplay. These sort of shows seem to attract a higher than normal rating for some reason.
I guessing it’s the water cooler talk element. There’s no other show that generates as much hype on social media and water cooler chit chat like this does, so it probably gets people watching later on.
Agree, it’s the only show people are talking about at work at the moment and we rarely talk about FTA or even pay tv / streaming shows.
What about Married at First Sight this year? In the earlier part of this season it generated VPM of 100,000 or even higher.
I see some raving on and on about the new season of the Bachelor but I feel it is a little too acted and fake. “You know you girls are great but when it come to Matty I will walk all over you. I will have to destroy her.” Oh come on. Too try hard to get the new Kierra. They even had to make it a big deal in the first episode. “And we have our new Kierra.” I think the producers have tried too hard to replicate and make the drama bigger this season.
Matty is a great choice in Bachelor though.
The first episode of the new season is repeated tonight after Have You Been Paying Attention.
These girls feel like genuine bitchies to me. Even if they are playing it up for attention or for more airtime then go for it. For being a bitch Keira is the one who got on I’m a Celeb and offerred a spot on US The Bachelor in Paradise so why not come on and be memorable?
As much as I like a bitch I would rather it be real and not in a bullying way. I think the producers are trying too hard.
And when you read at least three have been in lesbian relationships before, then…not so genuine.
I thought the whole angle on this show was that the potential dates want to form a relationship with someone of particular status, attractiveness etc. Who gives a shit who ends up with Matty J?
It was an interesting concept when the American version launched 15 or so years ago, which I watched. Now? It’s just so corny and artificial really.
I am sure it was just as corny and artificial 15 years ago to be fair.
The RSPCA is formally investigating the bachelor’s scene that involved women chasing down and tackling piglets on Wednesday nights episode.
What? What on earth does the RSPCA have to do with “allowing” or “approving” anything?
This move towards the RSPCA becoming a quasi-Police force, instead of an animal charity, is ridiculous.
I think the viewers who were outraged about the pig challenge claimed it was animal cruelty and some probably contacted the RSPCA. That could be why they are now investigating. I don’t watch the bachelor so I haven’t seen what actually happened.
I didn’t think they handled the pigs badly.
That was a great episode last night. Cobie is becoming that posssesive psycho who can’t handle anyone else touching Matty. Loved how Leah just stormed in and told her off in front of Matty. This drama is what makes this show great. Whats the bet that the elimination date is Jen vs Leah haha. Plus wtf with promo for next week… looks like a few more girls turn psycho in that house
Does anybody know where? a friend is interested
Stan advert during The Bachelor including scene featuring Shiri Appleby as a producer on Unreal
Then in the actual show a producer with 2-way is seen
QPSMedia twitter posts about everything from TV shows to State of Origin. They have for years. Typing a tweet takes 5 secs, hardly costly. It’s lighthearted fun.
Back to The Bachelor - the casting is terrible this season. Too many women there merely to provide drama rather than find love. They are flat out awful individuals with no redeeming qualities. That is more than likely impacting on ratings.
That is the reason I am so hooked. Jen and Leah are great for TV. I’m not sure who else is there to “provide drama”. I would say they are the only ones really doing it. 2/22 girls stirring the pot doesn’t make everyone awful individuals. There are plenty of suitable and genuine girls in there too.
Also last night got 750k which isn’t terrible. Wasn’t it getting around 800k last year? To be honest without some drama I think it would have dropped more. There have been so many dating shows the last year I expected Bachelor to struggle more this year. At least it’s keeping it entertaining.
I hate how they did the whole “To be continued” thing last night. I’m sure it’s just going to be Matty changing his mind on who he is sending home, or he sends someone home plus Sian.
There is a difference between ‘stirring the pot’ and being cast solely to provide drama. Jen, Leah and especially Sian aremt interested in falling in love. Sian made that blatantly clear last night. The Bachelor 2017 is a bad episode of UnReal TV.
