The 1% Club

Did anyone watch The 1% Club UK last night? On 7plus, it seems like a repeat of last week’s episode.

I believe Seven have shown all the UK episodes available, so they’ve switched to repeats. Happy to be corrected.

The broadcast was a repeat

What is the hold up for Seven to produce and air new local episodes? For half of the year it seems like they’ve been airing the UK version and calling it a day. Pretty poor.

They are probably waiting until next year to air their new season. There is also casting for another season. So they might have enough for 2 season next year :man_shrugging:

Cheaper to air the UK version and still get solid results. Lazy programming at its finest.

New special event episode of The 1% Club reveals which state is the smartest

The 1% Club : the show that tests how you think – or if you can think at all – is back in 2025.

In a new special event episode coming next year, it’s state v state as players from across Australia go head-to-head to find out which state is the smartest.

With $100,000 up for grabs, and eternal bragging rights, which state is home to the biggest brain?

Hosted by Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies, the special will showcase new questions aimed at differentiating the rocket scientists from the space cadets.

Each episode, 100 everyday Aussies of all ages and backgrounds play for their chance at $100,000 and the opportunity to join the elite ranks of the 1%.

Play along at home to see if you are smarter than 99% of the population and can make it to the 1% question.

The 1% Club is produced by BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand from a format created by Magnum Media and distributed by BBC Studios.

I wonder if Seven will acquire the US version?

Now to be hosted by Joel McHale and exclusively on Fox.

So was the original host not very funny?

Try Googling him and find out, comedy is subjective.
