Thank God You’re Here (2023)

The reality show was a send-up of Alone Australia on SBS.

Also want to mention that during the Sydney NYE broadcast group scene, when one of the hosts asked Ting Lim for her tips on keeping pets safe during the fireworks, you could hear an audience member groaning “oh no”. I think that was in response to Ting’s own scene from earlier, when she led two dogs out for a walk but only returned home with one - the other was found outside Dan Murphy’s.

finally some fresh blood!

What do you mean?
This was Takashi Wakasugi’s first time on the show yesterday.

Ting Lim too.

Although I was kinda hoping we’d not see repeat appearances from some until the last one or two episodes but I guess that’s the way it is.

It was when they watched Taskmaster

I think this was the best episode of the season. I thought Takashi was very good. Melanie deserved the win but I thought Takashi could have easily been given the win. I thought it was so good I watched it twice. Pete was also a really good judge.

Takashi was great. Would love to see him again :+1:

I thought it was a weak episode. I hate when they just answer the question and to try and be funny just say the most absurd thing. I like the ones that will reply and adlib on it a bit.

Maybe you didn’t watch the same episode I did. Takashi Definitely took them off script multiple times.

Lloyd, Bron, Felicity and Ivan, Thank God You’re Here.

Wednesday, 9 October At 7.30pm On 10 And 10 Play.

What do you get when you throw four comedians together on the Thank God You’re Here stage, entirely unprepared? A night of riotously funny viewing.

Opening the door to the unknown next week are Lloyd Langford, Bron Lewis, Felicity Ward and Ivan Aristeguieta.

Fearless host Celia Pacquola is back to herd those cats and a seriously special guest will scrutinise the silliness.

This season’s best episode!

Have they announced the guest judge in advance before? I always just thought they left it as a surprise at the beginning of each episode.

I don’t think they’ve ever done it before.

Chris was awesome in this episode.

I notice he has two different voices. He used his deep voice for his Vikings scene.

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:. He put the second voice on to suit his character in the scenario.

He doesn’t have “two different voices”. He was acting.

I wouldn’t say that. All 4 have to be spectacular and Nina is still learning, shes fresh blood.

Also did you see all the credits when Celia introduced her? Impressive!

If they want to have the best finale they have to get Kitty, Marty, Guy and Chris or Lloyd.

Side note: Felicity’s appearance next week will tie in nicely with The Office AUS promo.

Magda is perhaps more of a drawcard than Peter Helliar or Tony Martin.
