NRTV did have submarket branded material in 1994-ish when it was still branded that, at least in Newcastle (there’s evidence of an “NRTV Newcastle-Hunter” lineup on YouTube, with a submarket-specific voice over no less) so it’s interesting to see that when it was rebranded as Ten Northern NSW they continued that in some way for a while - can’t imagine it lasted that much longer though.
I know that Southern Cross put in “Ten Victoria” and “Ten Capital” mini-ads prior to (generic) Ten idents but I’m not sure they did a lot that was submarket specific (outside of say, Canberra, where having local news at 6 meant the late arvo/early evening needed reshuffling - alas most of my Ten Capital watching at the time was in Wagga that didn’t have this).
I loved their look and content from that early 90s era. Although what you posted is older skewing, generally Ten attracted gen-X’s like me hungry for the latest American pop culture (The Simpsons, 90210, Melrose, Ricki Lake, Cops…), leading all the way to the Big Brothers and Idols in the early 2000s.
