They do, at least in Sydney Sandra does evening updates which is a promotion for the 5pm bulletin then that is immediately followed by Ursula providing the top stories coming up in the late news.
I remember reading it on here a while ago. Apparently, 10 sent their presenters over to the US to film that promo. But I canât variety how true it was.
Thatâs not branding or positioning. Thatâs news updates. Yes it can form some form of promotion but itâs not in regular enough for the viewer. It needs to be constant. During every commercial break they need to be running some form of branding promotion in 10 sec, 15 sec and 30 sec formats.
Just thought.
Could it be possible that Saturday Nights might be a repeated show of âbest bitsâ from the week? There was speculation that this was to happen on Friday nights prior to 10 confirming the shows launch.
As Martin White mentioned during the showâs announcement, any rumours, names, information spread before the announcement was never true at all.
Except the several names that were leaked was true.
Which names? I never saw 10News+ mentioned anywhere before it was announced.
But that doesnt mean some elements might not come true in the future. I dont think in 10s original plan that the then The 7pm Project would become 1 hour firmat simply called The Project.
We will have to wait and see if thereâs a Plan B should the program not take off to the extent they want
Okay, yeah, I guess. Thatâs not the present though. Heâs saying any talk of time slots, show names, lengths, days of the week etc were never true before the announcement.
Of course anything can change in the future but we are talking about the now.
According to The Australianâs Media Diary, Sarah Harris was asked to stay on at Ten and helm this new show, however she declined, believing it was time for a breather and a rest.
I find that hard to believe.
Havenât they being saying they wanted a complete fresh start away from The Project? That doesnât align with this.
But who knows anymore in this world what to believe.
Always PR spin. I wouldnât be surprised they said that because Sarah declined.
Sarah is a big asset to lose.
To be fair she deserves better.
From what has been said this could be an edgier Eleven AM in primetime.
Im waiting to see if one of the first stories will be about shrinkflation.
The details that were leaked were probably all true originally. But of course plans change over time. Behind the Lines is a terrible name so Iâm glad it was seemingly only a working title.
It could have been a behind the scenes role.
I think she still has contract with 10 until the end of the year.
Itâs time for her to move on. I wish her well. Sheâs a great talent.
It was never a title. Thatâs the whole point. Not even a working title. Nothing leaked, except the reporters, was true.
David, we donât know that. We donât know anything. We know what was reported and we took that at face value. My point is that what was leaked was probably true originally, before the plans took their final shape and were officially revealed.
Iâm telling you it wasnât.
The name wasnât true.
Rob admitted it here they got it wrong. It was misinformation and thatâs okay, it happens. Rob and Martin White have both confirmed this.
Behind the Lines was never a name at 10. Never.
The information âleakedâ was probably to provoke interest whilst providing a snokescreen as to what they might be doing. Even now its not 100% clear, but we know its intended to fill a 1 hour gap in the schedule once The Project finishes up.
My guess is if this doesnt start until 30 June, that 10 will either screen a Best of The Project or some news special, assuming they dont bring the new show forward to 29 June
