Ten News (Regional NSW/ACT/Vic/QLD/TAS)

The experience in the room. Producers and managers and wardronbe department who can help the staff out in having them ready for on-air.

Melbourne or Brisbane then.

Instead of moving it all to Sydney, why not move each region to its respective capital so that it can be used as a stepping stone within each capital station?

That’s even better.

Just wanted to come here also, like Zampakid, as soon as I heard the news on a radio news break earlier. I posted this on TVT’s article just before:

Used to see her reading the news for Southern Cross Ten’s updates during the 2000s/2010s, for many years, but often as a fill-in or on weekends (think she was their supervisor actually) and had still been until at least pre-COVID, from their studios base in Canberra. She’d have had an impact on many that since went to bigger metro TV and radio stations, such as Kathryn Robinson, Lachlan Kennedy, Alexandra Bryant, Stefanie Waclawik, Joel Crean and Julie Snook. Valé.

When travelling regionally for family I’d every now and again see her delivering SC10’s news updates.

And of course perhaps known more widely from Ten’s iconic V8s era, as well as her family connections and her radio days. How nice to see some tributes too, including prominently from Richard Wilkins.

I honestly agree with you here.

As a Ballarat citizen, local news updates are quite important to us and it would be more helpful if we could have “Western Victoria” or their region names so they know it is serving their area it is assigned.

I wonder what happened to Kasey Wilkins.

She left. Will Boddy is now the Chief of Staff

Zeke Gaffney presented the afternoon updates on CTC Canberra today.

Have they stopped airing evening updates? I haven’t seen one in a few weeks.

Didn’t they reshuffle updates when 10N+ came in?
I know they dumped the 3pm update which was really annoying because now I switch to Nine to get my news sting and catch a bit of TP between Lingo

I didn’t notice any changes except the daytime national updates which got axed.

The past few weeks we have had national/News+ updates in place of the local one. We didn’t get national updates in the evening until then.

How are they filling their local content quota if the updates have been axed or reduced?

I would suggest they’ve been moved but unless one watches all day you wouldn’t know when they are on.

From the 1st May 2025 until Network 10 was refreshed on 30th June 2025, the news updates on 10 Northern NSW were still branded as WIN News. So yes to some extent there was still scars of the former broadcaster. While the updates in Northern NSW are now 10 News, some graphics, including the Weather ones, are WIN ones. The Northern NSW updates still scream WIN despite the rebrand to 10 News, and that’s because WIN are still doing the darn updates. Move the updates to Sydney I say.

Does anyone know if TDT are still using the old 10NF graphics or not? Pinging @Toddletoon.

Haven’t seen one for a few weeks but they were last time I saw.
