Ten News (Regional NSW/ACT/Vic/QLD/TAS)

It would’ve broadcast by now so I should be safe to post this now.

It hasn’t. But it looks really good!

Edit: It aired at 11:58.

Who would ever have thought that the Southern Cross noodle updates would launch a networks new package.

Those graphics are nice, but the weather uses the old look still. Interesting.
The hamsters better suit up as well, T-Minus 1 hour til the first new bulletin.

Tasmania still using old package at 11:57

It only now went to air on the Sunny Coast.

Usually the regionals get the updates last!

The in studio background gives me 9 News Now vibes.

One would assume the news theme isn’t going to change then

Not a fan. Its 12PM and that backdrop is not suitable, way too dark. Needs something light and vibrant.
It is also giving me heavy Seven News vibes from their old package.

Does the blue mean lunchtime will still look underwater with its backdrop?

BTW - the last 10 News First Update was last night at 9:45pm

I was hoping they’d reintroduce the classic orange and blue from 10 News of past, but it seems there is even more blue than the last package.

Let’s see at 1pm.

Big CBS Evening News vibes. I wish they rounded the box the “Local Update” is in.

From the little we’ve seen so far, it looks quite decent, however, all the blue is reminding me of when Seven News were obsessed with dark blue for a few years  - perhaps a lighter shade might be better.

I believe we are yet to receive the new weather look, but hopefully it’ll be soon.

The background did get notes of “looking cheap” but the darker colour is much preferable over the last version (at least for us noodle cookers).

One story and then “to sport”.

Okay. I feel very informed

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the new background, though I like that it is darker than the other one we had. The other graphics are very CBS Evening News inspired, something I was hoping 10 would adopt.

Not sure what TDT plan to do, as they’re still using the old GFX.

Well SCA don’t own regional TV stations anymore so that most if not all news updates and bulletins should have similar look to the metro counterparts

I thought you left? A long goodbye post and you go for 6 days?

Welcome back.
