Huh? Yes there were.
Not in Queensland. There was no paper on Friday, neither is there one on Christmas Day. Only days of the year the CM doesnāt print.
Super interesting that DT does one. Is HS in Melbourne the same?
Yeah, there was a Herald Sun yesterday. Surprisingly it was a solid 80 pages, which is good for a public holiday. It is easier for them to fill it up though with the Good Friday Appeal on.
No edition of the Herald Sun on Christmas Day though, which is understandable.
The Age and SMH also printed yesterday.
Again⦠this must be a Brisbane thing
Mal Walden is spot on again!
Well itās common knowledge Queensland is behind the times
Jonathon Lea is yet another talent being nurtured by Ten whoāll now be on the radar of Seven and Nine for a spot in their Canberra bureaus thanks to his performance this week.
I thought they had been for the last few years?
Certain members are expecting way too much from Ten. Give it a few years then we may see some changes and more local news bulletins.
Itās going to take time. Iām happy with what we have so far. There is a bit more room for improvement but if the executives donāt care, donāt want to invest more like some of us want, then we have other news networks to go and get an local news fix.

Iām pretty sure they still do. I use to deliver both the Age and HS on Xmas day as a kid.
I donāt think there was one last year. I may be wrong though.
