Good advantage for 10 over Seven and Nine then.
Guess it now depends on how consistent they can keep the timeslot.
The 10pm AEST airtime on 10 Play means the bulletin will includes NRL results but AFL results will be touch and go - the 7.40pm start for AFL usually sees the match finishing at around 10.15pm.
I donât think it matters. Those AFL viewers would be watching the game anyway rather than the news.
So the news competition on FTA on Friday would be ABC Late News around 11pm and SBS World News around 10:15-10:30pm. Both vary in their time week-to-week.
Sport would likely be after 10:15pm anyway - can provide a quick score report at the end of the sports report.
Applaud their efforts in getting this off the ground (why did it take so long?), great appointment of host and hope the 10 Late News brand is what we see on air (am hoping it comes from the main set ), but still quite dubious about the digital first strategy theyâre persisting with here.
Itâs quite the feat to knowingly put to air a delayed bulletin so blatantly, we know other networks record a portion of content prior to broadcast on other late bulletins but this is quite staggering how 10 are handling this and will have to see how long it lasts.
Remember when Afternoons launched and VP of broadcast news Martin White said it would stream on YouTube to appeal to all audiences? It never did.
Also wonder how theyâll tackle this on 10 play, will it have its own stream which appears when itâs on? Very interesting, guess weâll wait and see.
Sounds like the late news will be airing live with the east coast in WA at 8:30pm AWST. Thatâs a good move, why donât all the networks go live into WA, especially for national news bulletins.
That canât be right. What about all their prime time shows?
Good point, but thatâs what their FB is showing. Maybe they donât want a repeat of TEN News delayed for Perth viewers | TV Tonight
Thatâs definitely not right. Surely itâs just a copy/paste (change timezone) error. Some of the primetime shows finish after 9pm!
Letâs not even forget about HYBPA and The Cheap Seats. Surely they wonât push them later in Perth. Theyâd rate better than 10News.
Perhaps replayed at 8.30pm on 10Bold and then on 10 at 10.30pm AWST?
Iâd say thatâs an error surely.
Adelaideâs post has the same thing?
10âs Late News will stream weeknights live on demand at 9.30 ACST on 10 Play and 10 News Firstâs YouTube channel, and airs at 10pm ACST on Channel 10.
Does seem to be an error, but just for the broadcast time you would think. The 10 play/youtube times would just be adjusted to each market cause theyâre live.
Shouldâve called it 10 News Last
Theyâved fixed the WA Facebook post so that it correctly says 10.30pm AWST on Channel 10
Yup, seems theyâve picked up on the error now and updated.
Adelaide
Perth:
Shouldnât the streaming time for Perth for Youtube/10play be 8pm AWST?
Sounds like their Queensland bulletin
Just hilarious. They canât even get a launch announcement right. Thatâs not an error, someone has manually changed the times for each state. Thereâs no attention to detail at all.
