It’s a pity 10 aren’t trying some of these comedy specials in the 8:30 Wednesday slot that are just full of repeats

But Bull cos you know have to keep showing the same episodes of that its the 10 philosophy

CBS content, makes their owners happy through distribution and licensing payments. That’s why they bought the network in the first instance.

Such a depth of programming. Every single week

Of all those shows the obsession with Bull is the most baffling. It has never rated whatsoever. And it just seems like a really lame and limiting premise for a show.

You’d think 10 would’ve had some 8:30 content ready to go for post Olympics to try and salvage the back end of the year.

I’m not sure these comedy specials are strong enough in their own right to get people tuning in.

Its actually smart programming by 10 to try and hold onto some of their HYBPA and Cheap Seats audience by airing similar programming afterwards - its sure kept me with them for part or all of the comedy special depending on who they’re showing.

Just For Laughs has been in the Monday timeslot for some time now where it is a good demo performer. As 10pm content it can usually be relied upon to outrates whatever is on Nine and Seven at 9pm in the key demo groups.

Do you think bull repeats do?

Probably just means someone on the scheduling staff likes it.
Many of the more puzzling decisions on FTA in Australia tend to come down to arbitrary shit like that.

That would explain a lot of the decisions that are made in regards to the various FTA schedules.

Then they need to be directed to both Stan and Paramount Plus (from Wed) as the show is available on both platforms.

Can never understand how this happens, when they’ve already announced Lie With Me in this slot.

If they had something at 8:30 Wednesdays then it wouldn’t be the worst lineup for a few weeks at least.

They had Five Bedrooms but then decided Streaming is more important than 10 so moved it to Paramount+.

It’s airing weekdays in the afternoon on 10Peach.

season 1 only not season 2 which is where the newest season will be on Paramount.

That isn’t the point. Moving comedy to fill the Bull time slot will just weaken the overall schedule.

Mondays and Tuesdays are actually pretty good for 10 at the moment - leave them alone.

But, agree, they need to get a better offering later in the week rather than Bull repeats.

The unfortunate thing is that CBS has put Ten in the too hard basket (to try and move it from third, sometimes fourth ranked network) and is only investing the minimum in the network. I believe Ten have the staff to produce good content including a weekly current affair show (a possible vehicle for Lisa Wilkinson or Chris Bath) and a Crimestoppers/Australias Most Wanted style show (a possible vehicle for Hugh Riminton). The problem is CBS isnt going to invest the money to produce content when its cheaper the air repeats such as Bull and Blue Bloods.

At this point CBS arent doing the worst job - it could have been much worse if Bruce Gordon got his hands on the network - look at 10Peach’s offerings when WIN was a Ten affiliate and some of the “regional” variations on Christmas Day during with Ten/WIN affiliation years - a choir based program and The Saddle Club.

its good in theory to try something different, but its all about being willing to experiment, which CBS isnt willing to do

I don’t know if they are putting 2 EPs together or just padding it out, but Bachelor is now 2 hours so 8:30 SVU is out.

Sounds like they are burning it off.
