Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

It’s probably a good move if they are. How was jimmy their most eligible bachelor ever? Was it just because he couldn’t find anyone because he was boring?

Maybe they are trying to bore people enough to subscribe to their Paramount service

Reunion specials are all the flavour this month.

It’s not CBS, they invested in the network and had intentions to do big things.

But, when Viacom merged they took over international operations and simply lumped 10 into the same budget and operating procedure as Channel 5 in the UK (which they managed before hand)

Hasn’t 10 recently returned under CBS control?

I though this was stated a few months back, hence why we are seeing a return in sports investment.

Not that I know of, Viacom is responsible for all international properties.

Likely sport investment is for Paramount+ with the ability to have a token game on FTA.

According to this Deadline article:

ViacomCBS has restructured its international reporting structure, bringing its global business under the control of a trio of U.S. execs.

Cheeks, who is President and CEO, CBS Entertainment Group, will expand his role to include responsibility for a global content strategy across ViacomCBS’ free-to-air networks around the world. These include Channel 5 in the UK, Telefe in Argentina and Network Ten in Australia.

Again a double of Bachelor pushing the schedule out by an hour.

Pushing the repeats?

Exactly.

Although obviously doing this means they are finishing Bachelor off a week (at least) earlier for some reason.

Which would be strange considering they have nothing else to cover that week?

They still have a lot of formats to come; making it australia, MasterChef, masked singer and the bachelorette

They have The Bachelorette, Making It, The Masked Singer and Celebrity MC still to come.
Could the double episodes be not only to do with the ratings, but also a hangover from launching MC later earlier this year (due to MAFS/Australian Open schedule)?

So are we suggesting they have new content for every single week on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday until Christmas? That was my point.

To be fair you said nothing like that 3 messages ago, so wouldn’t have deduced the point your making now to what you said.

Well when one week is removed, it still has to be filled with something, it doesn’t disappear. Ten aren’t known for having a 50-week content pipeline.

It’s just two episodes though right?

So not really a weeks worth of content, they could commission a few specials or air unaired series like Rhys Darby: Big in Japan etc.

Another alternative would be to bring forward some 8:30pm planned content, maybe Mirror Mirror (assuming that’s for a later slot?).

None are really ideal, but it’s possible to fill the gaps. Or they’ll throw in towel like they often do.

I’m assuming they want to bring something forward by at least a week and maybe sync up the Finales of Survivor and Bachelor together.

10 have the upcoming Young Talent Time 50 year special to fit into their schedule.
