I think people turn off Ten on Friday and don’t come back till Monday .
Thats because other than Motor Sport, Ten has no other sports options for viewers and no other watchable alternatives
I’ve posted about this before with another video but don’t have to listen too hard to this to hear the audio track has “on TEN” and “on WIN” at the end of it.
The local adaptation of BBC observational series Ambulance will be shown on Ten later this year. Featuring NSW Ambulance Service, Ambulance Australia has unprecedented access to triple-0 call takers, dispatchers and paramedics.

I love the UK show and haven’t missed an episode yet. It’s more than just a stock standard procedural / factual. There’s real heart. Hopefully the Aussie version captures that.

So Disgrace really goes for 2.5 hours? Wow.
Surely not … sounds like overkill
And surely they would’ve put the skit show on another night where they’ve got other programs which are only 30 mins like Wed or Fri.
Also Street Smart bumped on Monday night, good luck to any of the audience left who might still have been wanting to watch it.
Might as well call it Sports This Morning seeing that it’s on so bloody late.
Ah well. Let it die the death it deserves
The way Ten are programming Sports Tonight, you could be forgiven for thinking that they don’t want the program to succeed! Is a consistent timeslot really that much to ask?!
Personally I think Either Wednesday or Thursday would’ve been a better night to schedule the pilot of “Skit Happens” than Sunday, but presumably Ten couldn’t resist piggybacking off the Russell Coight lead-in.
As for Street Smart…
Why do I somehow get the impression that the work of Tahir Bilgic and Rob Shehadie (Paul Fenech too, even though he isn’t involved in Street Smart) is just slightly above the levels of Chris Lilley’s previously popular/critically acclaimed but now much disliked/condemned comedy style?
Just about all the ethnic comedy stereotypes with over exaggerated accents and forced dialogue have been done to death in Pizza, Swift & Shift Couriers, Housos, Here Come The Habibs and any other programs there’s been in that vein over the years! This stuff might’ve been great 15-20 years ago but like (both versions of) The Footy Show, I thought we moved on from that type of thing…
Dave against live AFL and NRL on a Friday night?

I would have programmed a once a week Sports Tonight episode at either 5:30pm or 6pm on Sunday

And as for Street Smart, if it didnt work at 8pm Sunday, maybe try it at 6pm on Saturday

Aaah, the dreaded 6pm Saturday slot. Where no show has ever rated in over 10 years. So yes, that’s where Street Smart belongs
One thing I must say is, everyone is bagging Ten for their awful scheduling (even though I agree it’s true), but the reality is that all commerical networks are like this nowadays. It’s one of the biggest reasons (in addition to laziness for Seven and Nine, at least Ten are trying new things) why FTA is on the decline in Australia.
Just my two cents.

Well Ten lost The Simpsons when the Murdochs lost Ten
Well Ten lost The Simpsons when the Murdochs lost Ten
Are you implying that Simpsons rated well at 6, particularly on Saturdays?
Here we go…again
So Disgrace really goes for 2.5 hours? Wow
Surely there’s a movie or something scheduled at 9pm
Yes. Disgrace has been described as Gruen for scandals so I’d say it is half an hour.
