there’s a deep sadness in buying products the moment they’re released.

I can see the attraction in doing so.

Personally I’m happy to wait for prices to drop or buy last years model and save s bundle.

The latest phones only really offer incremental improvements over the previous version anyway.

Google has created a special logo to celebrate its 25th birthday today.

There were a lot of search engines back then… Yahoo! and AltaVista were a couple I used when I first got my own PC and internet access in 1999.

Said ‘insider’ has been the target of serious criticism due to being unreliable in the past, but many seriously do have their hopes up.

Just for everyone who didn’t bother reading this. This is in relation to the official trailer. IMO, there has been a lot of leaked content that has to do with GTA 6 around already so it wouldn’t surprise me if we do see an official trailer come out soon.

I’d also take into account the fact that Rockstar usually leave a 2 year gap between reveal and release (GTA V was revealed 2011 and released in 2013, GTA IV revealed in 2006 and released in 2008).

If they’re targeting a ‘fiscal 2025 release’, which is between Oct. 2024 and Sep. 2025, I would believe it would be revealed at least sometime later this year.

Can you imagine the drop in productivity worldwide when the game finally releases. Will be taking a day’s leave to play

At The Star Casino Gold Coast… I want THIS TV!

Biggest/ best quality one I’ve seen… looks like a proper LED screen, not a projector… it really does look good. And even HD looks good on it too, not bad for a screen of that size. Looks like it would be 10 metres wide.

The Helensvale Bowls Club has one similar to this. Probably not quite that big but it’s the same thing. It can basically show multiple sports on one panel.

Looking at upgrading my Surround Sound amp from my old Yamaha 5.1 that doesn’t even support 4K 60 or HDR to something that does Atmos and 4K 60/HDR10 and above for future proofing and have been looking at the Denon avr-x1700h

I don’t have a need to spend the extra money for the newer 1800, given the fact that 1700 even has a old Composite output to be able to feed my DVB Modulator to send it around my house

Has anyone got one and if so how do you find it?

i recently has the opportunity to look around Queens Wharf Brisbane, and in particular the new sports bar.

theres a great setup in there with multiple large TV’s scattered around, including one massive one. its not quite as big as the one at the sportsbar at crown but its much better quality.

on the subject of TV’s i see that there is a Hisense 100" Tv out - for the low price of $6995

I think I better invest in a second number for my phone. I am staying with Optus but man I think an extra SIM card would be worth it.

“Software update” most likely cause due to 4am start time

Optus outage caused by ‘fault’, no indication of cyber attack says Communications Minister Michelle Rowland

The government has confirmed a nationwide Optus outage was triggered by a fault in the provider’s core network.

While Optus itself is yet to reveal the root cause behind the blackout on Wednesday, experts had suggested it was most likely a software upgrade failure given that most updates occur between 2am and 4am.

More than 10 million customers and 400,000 businesses were impacted after Optus’ mobile services went down at 4am AEDT on Wednesday.
