Great news! Will be interesting to see how fast it really is in reality with everyone trying to use it at once.

Ring is shit (and owned by Amazon, I do not trust what they can do with your footage) - have a look at Eufy

I use a single Eufy camera atm at my front door (don’t have the doorbell tho, just a normal camera) and it works well.
No subscription bs to deal with, all recordings stored locally :+1: .

I use Google Nest security instead. Does anyone else use Nest doorbells?

Does anyone know of any Google Maps alternatives that have a good satellite mood?

This satellite seems to be in a good mood.

The two biggest players in mapping are Google & Here.
Both companies use third parties to supply them with satellite imagery.

Im not sure what you mean by good satellite “mood”, but I do know a few things about these mapping systems - what are you after?

A satellite that is over the moon!

Can’t speak for the doorbell has I haven’t gotten around to getting one when they are on sale
But I do however have 5 Outdoor Nest Cameras and 1 Indoor Nest Cam and I find the work very well and have even given the police footage from the for various happenings in my area and they were happy like I am with the footage
I believe the doorbell pretty much uses the same tech as the Nest Cameras

Overall this has been underwhelming and who the fuck will want to pay $4,000 for a virtual head set. I suppose it does have its potential but the price I was expecting.

Ios17 seems okay while iPadOS getting some interactive widgets looks kinda good.

No surprise ther they have dropped have iPhone 8, plus for ios17.

Never had an issue With Ring. It’s probably you that couldn’t get it working.

A really good presentation this year - coming from an Android user. The Vision Pro looks to set some remarkably high benchmarks within the AR/VR space.

The Vision Pro is bound to fail at that price-point and how they are trying to market it to consumers. No one in their right mind would buy that just to watch Disney+ with “spatial audio”. Might as well buy a proper home theatre.

Glad to see iPadOS bring lock screen customisations and iOS 17 finally fixing the “ducking” keyboard

Where did I say I couldn’t get it working?
