The S21 FE has been announced at CES and is set for release soon. Not far off from the S22’s release either… (which might be some time this month or the next)
I have a old Toshiba laptop with a built in aerial tuner. Does anyone know of a program I can use to run on it where I can have multiple channels showing at once?
I’d say that tuning multiple channels is a feature of the tuner rather than software. Unless the tuner has the feature, the best you might hope for is being able to show channels that are on the same multiplex, like the main and multichannels of a network but not channels from different networks.
You know what I didn’t even think of that and of course that makes total sense. Thank you
A beta update in the works may solve the Face ID with a mask scenario.
OH THANK GOD
The amount of times I need to take off my mask or enter my passcode, finally!
It will probably only work with a special Apple mask that will cost $20 each
*$200
I’m personally worried this could make it easier for someone else to get into my phone.
True, cause your nose and mouth would be covered, so the system would need to only look at your eyes
Has anyone used Windows 11 yet?
I only have 1 PC that it is available for and I’m hesitant to leave windows 10
I bought a new laptop that came with Windows 11. I’ve not noticed too many real differences you’d find in day-to-day use. I’ve moved the taskbar to the bottom right (like on Windows 10), and the only thing that annoys me is that you can’t expand the taskbar icons. Everything else isn’t too different for me. Would I recommend upgrading yet? No, wait a bit longer for most bugs and security things to be updated out. It can sometimes play up a little but not really noticeably.
Tried it for an hour. Absolutely hated it. Back to Windows 10.
I have a very specific work flow for my job and unfortunately Microsoft nuked the taskbar in Windows 11, making my work flow impossible.
What this includes:
- can’t drag files to other apps on the taskbar
- can’t display system icons and clock on multiple monitors
- can’t display all taskbar icons ungrouped
- can’t move the taskbar to the top of the display
- file Explorer was buggy
I’m either going to ride Windows 10 until the end (2025) or hopefully after a few updates once Microsoft addresses these pro user features.
Windows 11 is more aesthetically pleasing than Windows 10, that’s for sure! However, you should probably wait for more features (i.e. refresh of certain legacy apps, Android app support) and bug fixes before switching.
I also understand some people’s workflows are affected by the new update, with the removal of drag and drop, and the taskbar stuck at the bottom (as @Nicholas mentions).
wost thing is the removal of access to task manager from the toolbar. as somoene who works in tech support, often remotely, removing the quick access to taskmanager is a major issue.
on another issue, ive brought a 6th gen ipod classic. I plan to replace the hard drive with an SD card, replace the battery and put the custom rockbox oS on it.
Thanks for all of the feedback guys! I will hold off for a bit
I have heard the workaround for the Taskmanager issue for now is to pin it to your taskbar…
At first I thought ehh, but it looks quite good especially on the taskbar with its more vibrant colours.
Some additional features coming to Windows 11
