Taskmaster Australia

Watched this for the first time tonight, wtf.

The whole episode was really well constructed, with the constant throwback to Nina Oyama’s failed attempt to sink the ball. I also loved the non-branded-generic-yeast-spread task.

It’s taken them a few episodes to hit their stride and get comfortable with the ridiculous nature of the show.

I agree. Last week was good, tonight was definitely the best.

The season finale (episode 10) will be shown at the special time of 8.30pm on Thursday, April 6, after I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Did Luke Mcgreggor just make the same joke he made on The Hundred with Andy Lee?

Comedian’s do that a lot, I remember Dave Hughes doing a bit in one of his live shows then doing it on TODAY like a week after.

Well they generally make the same jokes everynight in their routines in a live show just as singers sing the same songs. Occassionally they’ll pull on that material for their TV routines too, though actually quite a lot of comedians like to ensure people going to gigs haven’t seen them do their material on TV first.

It’s not just comedians. So many times you hear an actor, singer or celebrity doing a press junket and they’ll tell the same joke or humorous story over and over again. So if you hear them on Nova, then see them on Sunrise and later on The Project, you can hear them tell the same one again and again.

Is Julia wearing a wig?

No, mate. She had her hair cut for I’m A Celebrity after she filmed Taskmaster.

Very impressed with the comedians’ creativity for the tasks in tonight’s finale.

Danielle Walker won the 10th and final episode with a score of 25 points, with Nina Oyama second on 23.

As the result Danielle also became season one champion, by only four points from Julia Morris.

Filming season 2.

The fact that they have started filming season 2 suggests that Julia Morris (who is currently in South Africa) won’t return for the show.

Each season has a brand new cast of comedians, so she wasn’t returning anyway.

It will be interesting to see who they have for season 2. Leakes

This is good news
Given the Melb International Comedy Festival has just finished, there should of been a lot of talent both local and overseas hanging around.
My bet is Anne Edmonds and maybe even Lloyd Langford
