Taskmaster Australia

They haven’t filmed one, have they?

Sure have, the studio components for the fourth season were filmed from 16 to 20 September this year.

Next cast comprises of Dave Hughes, Emma Holland, Lisa McCune, Takashi Wakasugi, and Tommy Little.

For the first time in the show’s history, there was a three-way tie with Aaron, Mel and Pete all finishing on top with 16 points, so a live tie breaker was needed. Aaron, Mel and Pete each had to guess the number of cards in Tom Cashman’s A-tier business card collection. Mel’s guess was the closest to the actual number (85) so she won the episode.

After ten episodes, Aaron was declared the winner of season 3 by six points. The points discrepancy that affected Pete from episode 4 was not solved, as he finished equal second.

Aaron Chen: 165 points
Concetta Caristo: 159 points
Peter Helliar: 159 points (observed score: 157 points)
Rhys Nicholson: 158 points
Mel Buttle: 146 points

I’m not sure how true the rumours were about switching seasons two and three. But, I liked this season more than I expected.

First photo of the cast for season 4

“Season 4 has Dave Hughes, Tommy Little, Emma Holland, Takashi Wakasugi and Lisa McCune, which is really an exciting pivot because obviously Lisa is one of the most popular and accomplished actresses in the country, but also hilarious.”

First look at season 4 aired tonight during I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. No airdate yet.

Big Names. Bigger Laughs.

Taskmaster Australia Is Back. All-New Season Premieres Thursday, 27 March At 8.30pm On 10 And 10 Play.

The global sensation driving comedians bonkers is back!

Our glorious Taskmaster Tom Gleeson and his diminutive assistant, Tom Cashman, return for the fourth season of Taskmaster Australia premiering Thursday, 27 March at 8.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.

This season, join Dave Hughes, Emma Holland, Lisa McCune, Takashi Wakasugi and Tommy Little as they tackle the tasks set by our illustrious Taskmaster and battle it out for the title of Taskmaster Australia champion.

Throughout their careers, our comedians have never been tested like this before as they face outrageous tasks, mind-boggling challenges, and seemingly simple stunts that will have them screaming for help – while we scream with laughter from the comfort of our couches.

And in the end, there can be only one winner who will be crowned our next champion and hold their trophy above their head. That is, if they can make it to the end without losing their minds first.

Rove?
He’s not funny on The Project - can’t see this being any better IMO.
On the plus side, will it make Fridays watchable if he’s absent.

Anisa Nandaula will be performing at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival later this month, for those who are wondering.

In an interview with The West Australian, Lisa McCune revealed that she is a big fan of the original UK version of Taskmaster, and that it was fun competing alongside four other comedians.

Landing Tom Gleeson as the Aussie Taskmaster was, for (Sarah) Thornton, a major turning point. His dry, deadpan authority brought instant credibility to the local version, but that casting coup didn’t happen by accident.

“It took a lot of hard work behind the scenes to get Tom, but he wanted to do it,” Thornton said. “He knew the format from the UK, and he could see it was a good fit for him.”

The final deal was the result of a unique collaboration between production partners, Token Group, Network 10, and the ABC. “We had to work really closely with Jennifer Collins at the ABC, and between that cocktail of people, we came up with a way to make it work. But I felt very safe once we had Gleeson on board. The show was in very safe hands, and he just keeps getting better every season,” Thornton said.

They really are trying to make Rove a thing again, aren’t they?

He’ll also be on an ep of Guy Mont Spelling Bee S2, and at a taping of Taskmaster last week (when cast were plugging comedy festival shows) teased that while he wasn’t doing anything for the festival/s he’d be doing something around the time of Taskmaster (S5) airing later this year.

Good episode to start season 4.

Tom Gleeson did not give any points to the contestants following the live task on stage (wearing T-shirts then throw the hangers. I thought it was a strange move.
