I remember Probst mentioning to Hamish and Andy that there would be rights issues associated with doing an international version during an interview when this was suggested- different broadcasters/production houses owning format rights and broadcast rights to the original.

Well good to see the couple broken up last night although I was surprised Figgy was the one sent home of the two, given a merge can only be a couple weeks away and he could be better at challenges. I guess the deciding factor for getting rid of her was how close she was to that girl (Michelle?) on the other tribe.
Michaela is the standout contestant this season. Loving her! She just does so many random things like last night popping up out of nowhere when people find Idols, yelling at her tribe mate during the puzzle and helping the other tribe in challenges. She’s great. I kinda wish she had been to more tribals as she would be someone likely to fire up there as well.
At this rate we will only have guys left. 5/6 people voted out are all female!

Well that sucked. We definitely were robbed of the best character of the season too early but thankfully she will be back next season. I absolutely loved Michaela’s reaction at tribal council! That’s one of the best vote off dummy spits ever. I don’t think this was a smart move by Jay. at all, as his motivation was probably moreso that she knew about his Idol but she was 100% loyal. I hope we see Hannah get her revenge next week. Should be an interesting merge I think. 3 tribes, 3 idols and only 4 girls left!

Agree, apart from Hannah getting her revenge next week - I find her whole persona so contrived / fake. Seriously annoying.
Ciera is getting another shot at survivor. They really want her to win. Always great to have the only two time winner Sandra back. Could she make it 3?
Just watched the latest episode. That was probably the best tribal council blindside I have witnessed. I like Mikayla but boy that was a funny, funny tribal. It will be great to see her back. Perhaps she shouldn’t fight to be the leader in the next series. Take a back seat and play stronger come the merge.
They just can’t get enough of ‘the daughter backstabbing her mother and voting her out’ storyline. She’s pretty ehh player IMO
If Sandra wins that’ll be a surprise IMO because everyone will be watching her every move to stop her from a third win and a perfect game. I personally want her to win though.

Oh why what’s the theme next season? I haven’t heard any of this. Happy to see Sandra playing again, always been my favourite.

Yeah google season 34 the cast has leaked. It’s a pretty impressive cast. Has potential to be on the same level as Heroes vs Villains. Lots of winners and lots of 3rd and 4th time players! Surprising that Sandra has come back given her two wins and likely losing her clean streak title.
I have a feeling Michaela must do better next season. Just based on some interviews about her from Probst for this season, he made a comment somewhere about how she is an interesting player to watch and the longer she plays the more her game matures. Thats why I was surprised she left so early here, which makes me think his comments are based on both seasons and she improves her game next time.

Is this a larger than normal jury? Glad one of the ‘cool kids’ were voted out. Completely different to the Aus version with a lot more blindsides which is nice.
Anyone who manually sets their PVR to record Survivor should look out for next week when there is a double episode thanks to US scheduling by CBS. Each market has a slightly different start time that will possibly also be affected by the finish time for cricket on the night.
Yes and no. Typically Survivor merges and juries usually happen at around the 11 or 12 stage but in Second Chances last year for the first time they did the merge and started the jury at 13 remaining. So they seem to have followed on with that this season.
I just can’t understand the stupidity of the likes of Taylor and Jay. They are playing like stereotypical millennial’s. Taylor threw himself under the bus with the whole Figgy situation and Jay cut off Michaela wayyy too early when she was 100% loyal to him. Now they are at the bottom and it’s where they deserve to be. Could have some interesting tribals coming up as there are still 3 Idols in play, a legacy advantage and that odd new reward advantage.
One of the things that I did like about the Australian Survivor is that we saw more of the camp, a bit much at times. But in the latest episode you don’t even get to see those that won the reward enjoy the reward.
Great episode last night despite the predictable boot. Taylor was awesome entertainment and was cast perfectly as the stereotypical selfish Millenial. Even though I had a soft spot for him (those dreamy blue eyes ;)) it was good riddance. He deserved the boot for just being dumb. Tribal was hilarious as well at how defensive Adam became.
I have a feeling things will start getting interesting from next week. They dropped some hints of the divisions within Gen X. They wouldn’t have shown Sundays strategy talk if it isn’t going to lead to something. There is also clearly a target on Adam. Plus of course 3 Idols still exist which surely are going to be played soon.
For me I’m liking Hannah. Her edit is getting more winners style with some random scenes of her last night about improving her game, playing for herself etc. Plus only 3 girls left and she’s the only one who has had consistent airtime. Hopefully she makes it far.
What do you mean? There wasn’t a reward last week because of the merge and this week we watched them at the resort enjoying the reward.

I agree I loved Taylor and wanted him to get payback on Adam. Jay and Will obviously voted for Taylor. Jay is quite smart. I still think he might get quite far. I think Adam is my favourite.
A fair bit happened at the reward actually. It went for at least a few mins. We got Taylor talking about how he could eat more and not feel sick because his stomach was used to eating more food from his stash. They showed the big cop guy getting drunk and smashed from drinking too 8 or 9 cocktails. It’s also where Sunday started talking about getting her head back into the game, how she wants to make a move soon on Jessica and how she’d rather work with someone like Jay.
Adam was my favourite (apart from Michaela) until the merge. Now he’s just become paranoid and crazy. He will be gone soon. I’m warming to Hannah for some reason.
