Never gets old after all this time!
This canât be viewed as a bad thing? Surely?
It hasnât been for a long time with the Camplins as owners. Bfast, drive and not much else, save for Saturday mornings, very meagre.
And thereâs hardly anyone live on Sundays at 2BS, but still, itâs better than the Super Network feed.
Dead air would be better than the 2SM network dross. The most boredom inducing topics, hosts and producers (if any) who donât know when to end calls or more likely have no other callers.
The AFL coverage on SRNâs regional stations is woeful
I tuned in to listen to the Swans/Giants on Saturday only to find it was Bombers/Power
Looking at the AFL Nation games, 2SM was supposed to get Bombers/Power and Swans/Giants was on regional nsw
Bombers/Power went out to the regional AMs? Sloppy
Life as usual for Caralis. Realistic expectations required, heâs been letting Australians down for over 20 yrs now.
What a refreshingly honest positioner, they should adopt this on air
2SM should really take an automated music shift while the network (from 2HD) takes the AFL calls.
Bill avoids paying royalties (and some former staff would say anyone) at all costs!
Exactly, hence why thereâs barely any music on the AM network.
Dear Whoever Picks The Music On BOG FM Stations,
If you want to learn how to do a killer balanced 80s to now music format, listen right now to 2DayFM.
Itâs not quite JackFM. Itâs real variety with a meaning & purpose.
I agree. Wish theyâd roll out 2day to Brisbane
Put it on DAB+
The Radio Green Room on Facebook reporting that Tim Shaw is leaving 2CC Drive to be replaced by Leon Delaney (Lawsâ replacement).
My guess is weâll now get even more average BOG announcers filling in when Laws is away.
Leon was their âmost with itâ for that time slot.
Any idea who (if any) will fill in moving forward? For Lawsâ slot Bill should actually invest in a semi decent fill in.
Knowing Caralis, itâll probably just be Dave Sutherland pulling a 7hr shift, or Pete Davis.
Or perhaps Scott Mayman for six hours following his Radio 97 bfast shift. Former metro news director with overseas exp in radio and TV, heâs good at what he does.
I feel sorry for Leon, heâs been underused, Bill to his credit has kept him on at Tweed Heads South as journo, voicetalent and other duties.
I forgot about Scott. He would be good.
As for Leon, I was surprised he stuck around this long following Lawsâ arrival. Leon was the regular 9-12 announcer before Laws moved to SM.
Can you imagine Graeme Gilbert with a special morning edition of The Help Line? (And I say this as the one person on here who actually enjoys listening to Graeme, but definitely not in the morning)
Itâd be great if Dean Mackin filled in for Laws. Heâs definitely capable and doesnât shy away from covering the newsy topics of the day, but I think he has his own business to run which would make it hard to be on-call at five minutes notice every day.
Is that the one where every man and their dog needs help with their India?
And heâs a top bloke too.
